Agnes Martin was a Canadian-born painter who spent decades working in near total solitude - first in New York, then in a remote adobe house she built herself in New Mexico. She gave almost no interviews.
With ‘My Back to the World’ was filmed over four years in her studio in Taos, when Martin was in her late eighties. It is one of the only films in which she speaks at length about her work and her lite.
In this clip she speaks about beauty. For Martin, beauty was not a quality of objects. It was a state of mind.

watch and listen to Etherwell breakdown western narratives of manhood in relation to women and r**e culture that is one of the pillars of today’s modern society. As men we need to dismantle this culture and urge the younger generation to embrace empathy and vulnerability when it comes to sexuality and the need for dominance. We can do better. We don’t have to be monsters.

History tends to repeat itself when left unchecked and is viewed through the lens of white supremacy. White supremacy is a fluid construct that serves the “empire” at will and can expand and contract depending of what can serve it. They can grandfather populations that were discriminated against but can be used in order to serve the purpose of what the system is made for (examples are Irish, Italians, Jews and soon probably white hispanics). This video posted by talks about the banality of evil and how otherwise perfectly “nice” people can commit the worst crimes against humanity when protected by the system and people around them.
