ÉCLAT
Education-first pigment care. Structured protocols for melasma and hyperpigmentation.

Here's the deal with melasma: it can look different from one day to the next.
Heat, sun exposure, hormones, inflammation, and other factors can all affect how pigmentation appears.
So if your skin looks darker one day, don't automatically assume you've lost all your progress.
Save this reminder for the next time your mirror has you second-guessing everything.

Think you have melasma? It might not be what you think.
Melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation can look similar, but they don't always behave the same way.
One of the first things to look at is the pattern. Melasma often appears symmetrically, while PIH usually develops where the skin experienced inflammation or injury.
That doesn't mean you can diagnose yourself from a photo, but understanding the difference can help you stop treating every dark spot the same way.
Save this for later, and follow us for more pigmentation explanations.

ECLAT started with a pattern I kept seeing in practice: people struggling with melasma and hyperpigmentation, but feeling overwhelmed by all the conflicting skincare advice out there.
There are so many products, routines, and opinions that it can be difficult to know what actually makes sense for your skin, or where to even begin.
I wanted to create something that made pigmentation education feel less confusing and more approachable. Something that helps you understand your skin, make informed decisions, and feel more confident throughout the process.
That’s really where Eclat began. 🤍
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed trying to figure out your pigmentation, you’re definitely not alone.

Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought your dark spots suddenly looked darker?
I hear this concern all the time, and most people immediately assume they've lost progress.
The truth is, pigmentation can look different from day to day without meaning your treatment has stopped working. That's why I encourage people to focus on patterns over time instead of one frustrating moment in the mirror.
If you've been trying to figure out whether your routine is actually helping, that's exactly why I created the Pigment Stability Journal. It helps you track your skin over time instead of relying on memory.
You'll find it, along with my other educational resources, through the link in my bio.

This is something I talk about with people all the time.
When progress feels slow, the first instinct is usually to buy something new.
But constantly changing products can make it even harder to know what's actually helping your skin.
Before you start over, ask yourself:
• Have I been consistent?
• Am I expecting results too quickly?
• Am I reacting to one difficult day instead of looking at the bigger picture?
Sometimes you don't need another serum. You need more clarity.
That's exactly why I created ÉCLAT's guides, to help people understand their pigmentation with realistic expectations instead of guesswork.
Have you ever switched products because you thought nothing was working?

Have you ever had a day where your skin looked completely different from the day before?
It can feel like all your progress disappeared overnight.
But pigmentation is not always that simple.
Your skin's appearance can shift because of different factors around it, which is why one bad mirror day doesn't always mean your treatment stopped working.
Learning to recognize patterns instead of reacting to every change can make the process much less frustrating.

One of the things I've always loved, both inside and outside the clinic, is helping people understand.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I've seen how overwhelming melasma and hyperpigmentation can be. There's so much conflicting advice online that it's hard to know what actually works.
That's why I started creating educational resources, to make skincare education a little clearer, simpler, and more approachable.
If you're looking for guides and resources, they're linked in my bio. 🤍

It seems logical to assume the oldest pigmentation would take the longest to improve.
But that’s not always how skin behaves.
How quickly a spot fades depends on several factors, including how deep the pigment sits, what caused it, and how your skin responds to treatment.
That means a newer spot can sometimes linger while an older one starts becoming less noticeable. It’s another reminder that pigmentation doesn’t follow a perfectly predictable timeline.
Instead of judging your progress by one stubborn spot, step back and look at the bigger picture.
The goal isn’t for every mark to disappear at exactly the same speed. The goal is steady improvement over time.
Sometimes your skin is making progress in ways that aren’t obvious until
you zoom out.
