So what causes hyperpigmentation?🤔

Have you ever wondered why dark spots appear on your skin or why you have freckles?

💫When pigment-producing skin cells are damaged or exposed to ultraviolet light, they create more pigment in your skin. This causes dark patches to appear on your skin, a condition referred to as hyperpigmentation.

Types of Hyperpigmentation

• Age Spots / Sun Spots:
Small dark patches of skin from over-exposure to
UV radiation

• Freckles:
Clusters of small red or brown spots located on the face, neck,
back, chest, hands or arms, which can be hereditary or caused by sun
exposure

• Melasma:
