This is an example of inkless scar revision on healed self-harm scars.

Instead of tattooing skin-colored pigment over the area, inkless scar revision uses specialized tattooing techniques with professional cosmeceutical-grade serums to work with the scar tissue and improve its texture, tone, and overall appearance.

One important thing to know: scar revision is a process, not a one-and-done treatment. Scar tissue changes slowly, and multiple sessions are typically needed to achieve the best possible improvement. I take a conservative approach because we’re asking your skin to heal and remodel between treatments, not trying to force a quick result.

For some clients, the goal isn’t to make every scar disappear. It’s simply to make them less noticeable, smoother, or less likely to be the first thing they see when they look at their skin.

And I think that distinction matters.

Your scars may represent something you survived, something you’d rather not explain, or simply something you don’t want to look at anymore. You don’t have to justify wanting to keep them, and you don’t have to justify wanting to treat them.

I work with many different types of scars, and these appointments are private, trauma-informed, and judgment-free. We’ll talk about your skin, what bothers you, what can realistically be improved, and whether inkless scar revision, scar camouflage tattooing, or a combination of treatments makes the most sense.
