When it comes to Botox, a little aftercare can go a long way.

Keep your head upright for about 3–4 hours after treatment. Avoid rubbing, massaging, or putting pressure on the treated areas, and skip strenuous workouts for the rest of the day.

Hold off on facials and massages for at least 24 hours, and avoid excessive heat like saunas and hot tubs.

And here’s a tip you might not know: zinc.

Zinc plays a role in how Botox works, and making sure you’re getting enough may help support your results. More isn’t necessarily better, though, so don’t overdo it.

Remember, Botox takes a little time to do its thing. You’ll usually start noticing changes within a few days, with full results around 10–14 days.
