i’m a nurse injector first and foremost, & i guess technically a salesperson somewhere down the line??
my job isn’t to convince you that you need something. it’s to educate you, assess your anatomy, give you MY professional opinion/knowledge/skill set, and recommend treatments that i genuinely believe will benefit you.
and here’s something i think patients need to hear more often: just because your previous injector did something doesn’t automatically mean i will. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
maybe you’ve had a certain area treated before. maybe you’ve always gotten a specific amount of filler. maybe another injector recommended something that i personally wouldn’t. that doesn’t necessarily mean your previous injector was wrong. it means we’re different providers with different experiences, techniques, training, treatment philosophies, protocols, and yes, even professional boundaries and ethics.
what one injector is comfortable treating, another may not be. and that’s okay!!!
i’m not here to recreate someone else’s treatment plan just because it’s what you’re used to. i’m here to evaluate what’s in front of me, consider your goals, and make recommendations based on my own clinical judgment. it could look completely different, or the exact same.. but also it could mean im simply going to say no
it’s not because i dont hear you or i dont value, but it is because i genuinely freaking care about you
i want you to trust me enough to know that when i recommend something, it’s because i believe in it. not because of $$$
WHOEVER you chose to be your injector i you all find someone who is just as comfy with saying no as they are as saying yes
and if our treatment philosophies don’t align? that’s okay, too. finding an injector whose approach, aesthetic, and values align with yours is part of finding the right provider

i feel like we’ve lost the plot a little…
there’s nothing wrong with wanting to enhance your appearance, but i think we’ve blurred the line between enhancing what makes us unique and trying to fit into whatever beauty standard is popping off at the moment
you don’t need to look like the next person to feel good about yourself.
individuality is a beautiful thing. let’s not lose that in the process 🤍
