What do I do when I have a busy mind or I am paralyzed with indecision?

I meditate on my breath.

Inhale into the belly, inhale into the chest and exhale slowly.

Return feeling calm and focused.

I was cleaning out my ancestor’s water offering bowl because there were ants drinking from it. As I was in the process I paused and thought what if these ants are my ancestors? I thought in essence they could be. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be transferred or transformed. We see this beautifully done in the decomposition and use of organic matter. So you can say that all living organisms contain pieces of our ancestors. I like to think that they contain all of their love and wisdom. Can we learn to love and honor all living organisms? What would our world look like if we did?

None my thoughts are original. Many indigenous and ancient cultural practices teach living in harmony and balance with all beings.

The following is a collection of messages that I received during spiritual journeys.

Projected Messages

The Abyss is only scary because it’s a depth you don’t yet know. You can dip your toe in or sit on the shore until you are ready.

Having a higher perspective doesn’t mean escaping conflict. It means that you can better understand when you need to fight, when to forgive, or when to walk away. A bird with the best sight advantage can still fall prey, but they might be better able to spot a predator and calculate their advantages and disadvantages.

Cacti are no less useful or desirable because of their rough exterior. In fact cacti are necessary in their environments and are sought after for their beauty and medicinal properties.

Despite all the protection and rough exterior the right people will always find and appreciate you.

No matter what you are dealing with I promise that you have at least one thing to be grateful for- hold on to it and just start putting one foot in front of the other. If you can ask for help.

Today a moth carried into the darkness on a string of silk. While there I was reminded of the following poem that I wrote.

“Moth like the butterfly but born in the dark living living to find the light.”

I also thought of the light and the dark that we each carry within us and how tapping into both has helped me be more authentic version of myself.

Persevere through discomfort and find the truest version of yourself.

Sometimes your destination requires you to walk alone.

Consort with all of your bodies daily.

Be unattached to beliefs, ways of thinking, outcomes, people, place and things and remain consciously open.

The Sun’s light is only partially important because of the service it provides to our solar system. Similarly the light that you hold is only partially important because of of where you choose to shine it and who you

share it with.

The holistic approach is slow and requires observation. Notice the processes involved. The wisdom of evolution, the ecosystem, cause and effect.

You are everything you are looking for. Everything else is bonus 💙

What I imagine when people say: “Just sit with it.”

Finding the cause of the trigger is the first step to dealing with painful patterns that keep replaying in my life.

Emotions are messy, but when you can sit with them, you can learn to notice the triggers and reactions and learn to fine-tune yourself. Not to mask or avoid but to break free from the patterns.
