For most of my life, maintaining weight loss lasted about three months… if I was lucky.
Then I’d gain it back and assume I’d failed. Again.
What changed wasn’t that I suddenly became more disciplined. It was finally treating the chronic illnesses that were working against me in the first place.
Now my routine doesn’t have to be overly strict or all-consuming because I’m not spending every day fighting my own biology.
I’ve now maintained my weight loss for 15 months, and that’s something I never thought I’d be able to say.
If you’ve been curious about GLP-1s but aren’t sure where to start, comment START. I’m happy to point you toward the resource that helps me on my journey.
What has made the biggest difference in your health journey?

GLP-1s are cheating.
Babe…
I had to date three of them before I found “the one. There was nothing easy about it.
Real talk though… one of the biggest myths in this space is that all GLP-1s work the same. They don’t. My body laughed at the first two.
Anyone else have to kiss a few frogs before finding the right medication or dose? 👇
Post-op Day 6 🤍
One of the best feelings so far? Getting cleared to drive.
Even better? My girl had an opening, so I finally got my hair washed, my roots touched up, and my bob refreshed. 💇🏼♀️
It’s funny how something as simple as clean hair can make you feel so much more like yourself. Grateful for another little recovery win. 🤍
Follow along for Day 7 tomorrow.
📖 Another day, another book.
Today I’m reading Bug Hollow by Michelle Huneven.
If I’m being honest, this isn’t a book I would’ve picked up on my own… but that’s becoming one of my favorite ways to discover new reads. Sometimes the books outside your comfort zone end up surprising you the most.
What’s on your nightstand or in your audiobook queue right now? I’m always looking for my next great read. 📚✨
Post-op Day 3 🤍
My mom knows I’m terrible at sitting still, so she rescued me with my second Starbucks of the day and a slow lap around Target. ☕️🎯
I’m incredibly grateful that my recovery has been going so well. I’m taking it easy, listening to my body, and my discomfort has been much more manageable than I expected.
Anyone else immediately gets cabin fever when you’re told you can’t drive? 😂
I might be home bound but I am still an independent woman thanks to
Post-op Day 1 🤍
Honestly, I feel really good.
Am I sore? Yes.
Am I tender? Absolutely.
But I’m not in the level of pain I had prepared myself for, and that’s been such a pleasant surprise.
The hardest part so far? Not being able to shower. 😅 I’m an every-single-day shower girl, so this has definitely been an adjustment. Thankfully, dry shampoo and Scrubeez rinse-free bathing wipes have helped me feel so much more like myself.
I’m planning to share my breast reduction recovery day by day…the good, the hard, and everything I wish I’d known before surgery.
If you’ve had a breast reduction, what surprised you most during recovery? And if you’re considering one, what questions do you have? 🤍
It’s little yitties day! 🍒
Post-op Day 0 update:
Surgery went great, and I’m officially on the other side! My surgeon ended up performing a free ni**le graft, which we had discussed in detail beforehand, so it wasn’t a surprise and I’m comfortable with that decision.
Right now my pain is pretty manageable, but I know the next couple of days will likely be the toughest, so I’m staying ahead of it with my prescribed medications, lots of rest, and following my recovery instructions.
Thank you so much for all of the encouragement and support, it has meant more than you know. 🤍
I’ll be documenting my recovery, sharing honest updates, and answering the questions I wish I’d known to ask before surgery, so follow along if you’re curious about the process or considering a breast reduction yourself.
Tonight is night one of testing out my sleep setup for my breast reduction recovery, the 4 piece wedge set I got ensured numerous configurations so let’s find the most comfortable one.
A GLP is a shortcut the same way a car is a shortcut, a nail gun is a shortcut and open heart surgery is a shortcut
