✨Colored with earthen mineral pigments
✨Naturally water-repellent seal, achieved by hand burnishing olive soap into the lime plaster at just the right time
✨Protected with a layer of emulsified beeswax

| New York City designers Lex & Hudson understood the assignment🩶

“We often use natural materials with history and functionality. Tadelakt, used in this bathroom, is an ancient plastering technique that initially was used to waterproof cisterns and store drinking water. It was later used for decorative purposes on exteriors of royal buildings and interiors of bathrooms because of its water-repellent quality. We love the texture and movement it gives and the patina that develops over time.”
