Today’s the day! ⚓💗
I’m so excited and grateful to be in Charlottesville, Virginia today as a presenter for The Arc of Virginia Statewide Conference!
I’ll be sharing “The CARE Method™: Navigating Complex Care Systems with Confidence” and talking about something I care deeply about: helping caregivers and families feel more informed, prepared, supported, and empowered as they navigate complicated systems of care.
What started from lived experience, advocacy, and a desire to help families feel less overwhelmed is continuing to open doors I once only imagined.
I’m excited to connect, learn, share, and represent CAREfully Anchored today. ⚓
Let’s do this! 💕

⚓ CARE Tip of the Day: Prepared caregivers become confident advocates.
💜 HELLO, SEPTEMBER! 🍂⚓
A new month doesn’t mean you need a completely new life, a perfect routine, or a mile-long list of goals.
Sometimes, a fresh start simply means asking:
“What can I do differently this month to make caregiving a little more manageable?”
This September, let’s focus on three things:
🎯 Set meaningful goals.
Choose goals that will actually reduce stress, increase confidence, or bring more peace to your caregiving journey.
💜 Create supportive habits.
Small, consistent actions matter. Take a few minutes to plan your day, make space for yourself, and reset each week.
⚓ Build workflows that work for you.
Create systems for medications, appointments, documents, communication, and other recurring responsibilities so you don’t have to reinvent the wheel every day.
Caregiving will always have unexpected moments. But the right systems can help you spend less time reacting and more time responding with confidence.
And remember:
Progress over perfection.
You don’t have to change everything this month. Choose one area and start there. 💜
💜 CARE Challenge:
Complete your September CARE Reset today:
1. Choose ONE goal that would make caregiving easier.
2. Choose ONE habit that will support your well-being.
3. Choose ONE workflow or system you can create or improve.
That’s it.
Three intentional changes. One month to practice them.
💭 CARE Reflection:
Complete this sentence:
“By the end of September, I want caregiving to feel more __________ and less __________.”
I’d love to hear your answer in the comments. 💜
New month. New focus. Better systems. Stronger you.
Because caregivers shouldn’t have to navigate this journey alone. 💜⚓

⚓ CARE Tip of the Day: Prepared caregivers become confident advocates.
Caregivers, before the new week begins, give yourself the gift of a little preparation. 💜
Sunday doesn’t have to be about getting everything done. It’s about doing a few things today that can make tomorrow feel less overwhelming.
Take a few minutes to:
📅 Review this week’s appointments and responsibilities.
📂 Gather anything you’ll need for upcoming appointments.
🍽️ Prep a few simple meals or snacks if possible.
💊 Review medications and make note of any refills needed.
📝 Write down your top caregiving priorities for the week.
💜 And don’t forget to put yourself somewhere on that calendar too.
You can’t predict everything caregiving will bring this week, but you can create systems that make the unexpected a little easier to manage.
Plan today. Peace tomorrow. ⚓
💜 CARE Challenge:
Give yourself a 15-minute Sunday CARE Reset. Set a timer and choose just three things to prepare for the week ahead. Don’t try to do everything, focus on what will make the biggest difference.
💭 CARE Reflection:
Ask yourself:
“What can I do today that will make this week easier for me?”
Then do that one thing. 💜
Because caregivers shouldn’t have to navigate this journey alone. ⚓
