Black Business Month is celebrated every August. It started in 2004 with two Black entrepreneurs, John William Templeton and Frederick E. Jordan Sr.
They created it because they wanted more attention placed on Black-owned businesses not just the success stories, but also the real challenges Black business owners face when it comes to things.
It’s about recognizing Black entrepreneurs who are out here building businesses, creating jobs, serving their communities and creating something that can be passed down.

MonTrice is more than an amazing poet. She is a speaker, teacher, entrepreneur, and the author of several children’s books. And when you look at everything she does, there is one thing that connects it all: her words have purpose.
