It's been 20yrs, 2mos, 3wks & 6 days that this spicy beautiful girl has been Queen of our furry castle. When we whispered in her ear this am that Romeo was waiting for her, she gave us just the tiniest of meows. π She was ready, even if we absolutely were not. Rest easy my sweet Juliet. Thank you for all the love, laughs, and sass. You will be deeply, deeply missed.

Her first week with us. I've always said that she was bitten with full grown whiskers.
Taken this morning, after her 8th (ish) churu. Even with the evidence lingering on her chin (grooming/shrooming), she was a beauty.
With her Romeo, circa 2006.

The only saving grace is that she's back with her Romeo. She grieved him terribly when we lost him.
Peas in a pod.
Biiiig stretch. π
The whiskers, the black nose... She was one of a kind.
We almost didn't get up this am to walk (with or without Murphy), but aside from the entitled shmuck with his off-leash shepherd, it was a beautiful morning.
(If you have to tell your dog three times to come, he's not a well trained dog, and when something happens, and it always does, you'll blame and berate the dog, but it's π― on you for setting him up to fail in the first place. As***le. Never mind the bloody leash laws.)

I 100% recommend seeing the Hadestown pro-shot. It was absolutely perfect. I 1000% do NOT recommend seeing it the week you lose a furbaby. From this line forward, I was just trying not to make a scene with my ugly sobs. The silver lining? That line resonated so deeply in my soul that it WILL be a future tattoo. Because of course, despite the shattering grief of saying goodbye, I will always ALWAYS sing it again. π

Looks concerning doesn't she? Welcome to my daily "oh my God, are you OK?!?" It's been a rough few days for our super duper senior. Unexplained, rapidly growing mass near her thyroid (now reduced with steroids), unexplained fever, high blood pressure, (that then went too low with meds), "something" behind her left eye that's caused blindness, some neurological deficiencies in a back paw (mini stroke?), and naturally a lack of appetite and abandonment of litterbox etiquette. (grateful we have throw rugs absolutely everywhere!) Her appetite and litterbox manners are back this am, and she even climbed up on the counter demanding treats. She's been on deaths door a few times in her long life, and I'm here again to give her body the option to stay, to the extent that we can do so comfortably and still retain her quality of life. π©Άπ€

This is the face that convinces me to retrieve fries for him AT LEAST once a week. It's the only tried and true way to get meds in him when his appetite wanes. He gets just enough for the meds and to kickstart his appetite. π₯°

Murphy gets to (under protest) take over Enzo's acupuncture appointments. It was so tough walking in that room without him. πππ©΅ To his credit, Murphy was more tolerant of the needles today. I like to think Zo had something to do with that. π πΎ
