“Women handling money in the Bible.
1. Lydia Built a Business
Scripture: Acts 16:14-15, 40
What she did differently:
* She was an entrepreneur in a male-dominated society.
* She traded in expensive purple cloth, a luxury product.
* She used her home and wealth to support the church.
2. The Proverbs 31 Woman Diversified Her Income
Scripture: Proverbs 31:10-31
What she did differently:
* She bought land.
* She planted vineyards.
* She manufactured goods.
* She sold products in the marketplace.
* She planned for the future.
3. Joanna, Susanna, and Mary Magdalene Financed Ministry
Scripture: Luke 8:1-3
What they did differently:
* They used their personal wealth to support Jesus’ ministry.
* They viewed money as a tool for service rather than status.
4. The Widow of Zarephath Gave Even in Lack
Scripture: 1 Kings 17:8-16
What she did differently:
* She gave despite having very little.
* She trusted God in a season of scarcity.
5. Dorcas (Tabitha) Monetized Her Skill for Impact
Scripture: Acts 9:36-39
What she did differently:
* She used her sewing skills to bless others.
* She built a legacy through service and generosity.
The biggest pattern:
The women who handled money well in the Bible did not merely spend money they stewarded it. They used resources to:
1. Build and invest.
2. Serve others.
3. Support God’s work.
4. Plan wisely.
5. Create lasting impact.”

Trying to find that balance between, making soap your main product but also providing the customer with variety, has never been easy for me. Some markets my table would end up looks like display at Ollies, which wasn’t at all what I was going for.
I’ve definitely scaled back to just soaps lately, and I hope to get the flow going again soon.

What do I do with the reject soaps? The bars that aren’t aesthetically pleasing enough to sell. I chop them up, and add them to new soaps! This one I named sea glass.

Did you know that in the twelfth century, English soapmakers began crafting their own version of soap. Soap at one point was considered a 'luxury' item, they had special craftsman, and ingredients that were protected, in places where olive trees were plentiful. Italy was among one of the few places that was heavily sought after by the wealthy for their Castile soaps! Castile soaps are made from olive oil.
Soap was heavily taxed due to it being more of a luxury for the rich. However, in 1853 when the English soap tax was repealed, the soap trade boomed along with a change in social attitude toward bathing and personal hygiene.
Eventually the country side, and America had families creating their own family lye from wood ash, and mixing animal fats, to ensure clean hygiene. Soap, became very important to have on hand, and was greatly sought after for bartering.
