The Rise of Frankenstein Food: Rewriting the DNA of Our Plate

Our food system is undergoing a radical and unsettling shift. Under the banner of innovation, chicken farms are being replaced by bio-reactors, and natural agriculture is being swapped for laboratory creation.

Using precision fermentation, scientists alter the genetic code of micro-organisms like yeast and fungi, converting giant steel tanks into artificial egg-protein factories. The resulting harvest is filtered, purified, and dried into an industrial powder that mimics the binding, foaming, and texture of natural food.

These lab-grown ingredients are already slipping onto grocery shelves with regulatory approval, permanently altering what we eat.

We are fundamentally disconnecting our daily meals from nature, replacing real farming with synthetic, genetically engineered alternatives—creating a true “Frankenstein” food system.
