ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Let me be very clear: Soul Haven Wellness Spa will not sit quietly while serious allegations of illegal activity or inappropriate services are circulated online about our business and the professionals who work here.

These are serious accusations with serious consequences. They can damage reputations, threaten livelihoods, and undermine a business that people have worked hard to build. Our contractors deserve to work with dignity, and our clients deserve to feel safe, respected, and confident in the services we provide.

I am sick to death of seeing small businesses targeted by rumors, personal vendettas, and allegations that are entirely unfounded. Small business owners are already fighting an uphill battle in this economy. We invest our money, our time, and our energy into building something meaningful, creating opportunities for others, and serving our communities. The last thing we need is someone attempting to tear it all down because of a personal grievance.

And let’s be honest: sometimes professional relationships end, people face consequences, and not everyone leaves happy. But being upset about the outcome of a professional relationship does not give anyone the right to retaliate with false accusations or attempt to destroy someone else’s reputation.

I know another local small business owner who is dealing with the fallout of reports that are false. It’s infuriating to see people’s livelihoods put at risk while false allegations circulate. We should be supporting our local businesses, not contributing to their destruction.

If someone has a legitimate concern, there are appropriate ways to handle it. But deliberately spreading false information to damage a business or the people associated with it is an entirely different matter.

When you mess with my livelihood, my business, and the livelihoods of the people who work alongside me, I take that extremely seriously.

We are documenting the allegations, preserving relevant evidence, and considering all appropriate legal options to protect Soul Haven Wellness Spa and our team’s reputations. Anyone who believes they can publicly damage our business without accountability should think carefully about the consequences of spreading false statements.

I will not engage in a public mudslinging contest, nor will I allow online drama to distract me from running a business. But make no mistake: choosing not to participate in public arguments does not mean I will remain silent when it comes to protecting what I have worked hard to build.

Small businesses are built through hard work, dedication, and trust—not destroyed by rumors and retaliation.

I stand behind my team, our commitment to professionalism, and our right to operate without being targeted by false allegations.

Enough with the rumors and the retaliation.

FOR THE RECORD:

For the record, my professional relationship with former independent contractor Dominique Douglas was brief. She was working on a probationary basis, and during the handful of days she worked at Soul Haven, I experienced repeated concerns regarding her reliability, work ethic, and attitude toward me, other team members, and our clients.

On two separate occasions, she failed to show up for a scheduled client appointment without calling or providing notice, leaving clients inconvenienced and reflecting poorly on our business. She also expressed that I was scheduling her too many appointments 🤦‍♀️ 🤷‍♀️! That was a new complaint I’d never heard before 😂. When you’re working in a client-based business, reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to accept appointments are essential parts of the job. If someone doesn’t want to take appointments, serve clients, or earn money, then this simply isn’t the right working environment for them.

These issues, combined with the overall experience during her brief time here, led me to determine that she was not a good fit for our team and that her contract would not be continued. This was a business decision based on my direct experience, my responsibility to our clients, and my obligation to protect the standards of Soul Haven Wellness Spa.

A professional relationship ending does not justify making false allegations or attempting to damage a business and the reputations of the people who work there. If there are grievances, they should be addressed honestly and through appropriate channels—not through personal attacks or claims that could jeopardize other people’s livelihoods.

This is business and people’s livelihoods are at stake, and I expect that to be treated with the seriousness it deserves.
