My Top Tips for the Oregon Renaissance Faire!
We’ve been attending the Oregon Renaissance Faire since 2022 and it has grown exponentially every year! Here’s how we get the most out of our day in the Vale of Dunrose!
⚔️ Arrive Early or Late
If you want to be there at opening, you definitely need to arrive around 9 and be lined up by 9:30am! By 10am, the entry line tends to be LONG and it can be an hour (or two) just to get in.
If mornings aren’t your thing, arriving in the afternoon after the initial rush is a possibility. If you arrive at 2pm or later, you most likely can walk right in. Faire is open until 7pm so there is still plenty of fun to be had!
⚔️ Pictures First
I always get a nice photo of me and Ty in our full outfits at the beginning of the day. Our outfits are fresh, the background tends to be emptier, and the lighting is best before noon!
⚔️Double the Drinks
There’s two taverns with multiple lines and bar tenders but they will get LONG! In the heat of the afternoon, plan on waiting 30-45 minutes for your Mead but you can order 2 drinks at a time so it makes the wait worth it.
⚔️$2 Refills
I’m not a big alcohol fan so you’ll find me at McGilly Sassparilly! This rootbeer stand sells Sarsaparilla, Birch Beer, and Cream Soda and offers $2 refills after initial bottle purchase. You can get a new one each year or bring bottles from previous years!
⚔️ Eat Early
The food lines used to be the longest lines we wait in all day so we try to eat lunch between 11am and Noon before it gets too crowded. A lot of the most popular food items sell out by the end of the day so if you want something specific, get to it early!
⚔️If You Love It, Get It
A lot of the vendors handcraft their items so there’s a limit of stock. An item might not be there for very long so if you love it and would regret not getting it, buy it asap!
⚔️ Leave During Final Joust
If you’re not planning on watching the final joust, it’s a great time to get out of the parking lot hassle free! After the show, there’s a mass exodus and it gets crazy! If you are staying for the Joust, I recommend waiting the extra hour until Faire is over

Honestly, out of all the Star Wars planets, Endor is where I would want to live. It’s so green and beautiful and, come on, who wouldn’t want to be neighbors with Ewoks?!

It’s been a weird past week… turns out, I’m old and my body hurts when I sleep wrong and then I can’t move for a week 🤷♀️ this is my life now 😆
So not a lot of new content happened but I’m hoping to get back to it tomorrow with a new heartless curl tool to try!

🧭 Adventure- I don’t currently have an adventure planned for this week so we’ll see what happens 😆
🪡 Project- I’m starting my Ren Faire crafts!! We’re 3 weeks away from and I probably should have started my outfit a while ago but here we are 😂
🏡 House- we have 2 pantries in our kitchen and laundry room and I’m hoping to clean out and organize both 🤞🏻
🏆Goals- updating my website! More services coming soon!
❤️ Looking Forward To- our annual Memorial Weekend cookout and games with our friends on Sunday!

I know there isn’t a clever Star Wars pun associated with today but I was sick on Monday and then I spent all day yesterday catching up on things that I need to get done this week so I’m just now getting around to posting some of my favorite Star Wars looks!
In case you couldn’t tell by the fact that over half of my looks are Princess Leia, she’s my favorite! I grew up watching the original trilogy and I’ve always loved the sassy Princess who played a key part in the rebellion. She was one of the first examples of a damsel not being in distress and I loved it!
I am still hoping to do some new Star Wars inspired looks for this month, including a project I am currently working on and am so excited for!

I love to dress up a tshirt and this is definitely an outfit I should wear more often!

It’s May aka Star Wars month!
Get ready for all the Star Wars content. I’m really hoping to do some new hair tutorials and update some of my old favorites!
