GLOW GUIDE
Dad and I shared a unique bond as both Navy veterans and physicians. His example taught me the importance of connection and helping others.
Inspired by his legacy, I founded remMD to improve confidence, independence and safety for the people we love.
Some of you have known remMD for a while now — but if this is your first time here, let's start fresh: I'm Dr. Susan, a physician, a Navy veteran, and the daughter who built this company after watching my mom navigate life after a stroke.
We've grown a lot since then. As remMD steps into this next chapter, I wanted to reintroduce myself — not just as a founder, but as someone who still believes safety shouldn't feel like a medical intervention. It should feel like freedom.
That belief is still at the center of everything we build, including Glow Guide — the smart nighttime safety light we created so families can worry a little less.
New look, same mission. If you're just meeting us, welcome. If you've been here a while, thank you for growing with us. 💛
Please consider volunteering for the annual Veteran Wheelchair Games! The next one is planned for Orlando, July 14–19, 2027. Here’s the link: wheelchairgames.org
There are so many competitions happening at the same time, so you can choose the sport that interests you most. I helped with Air Gun, Obstacle Course setup, and Power Soccer scoring. There’s a whole team there to welcome volunteers with t-shirts and gift bags, and they even treated us to lunch.
By far, the best part was meeting the veterans and seeing how much they love the game. It was such a meaningful and fun experience.
It also made me think back to one of my first jobs at Blythedale Children’s Hospital as a recreation therapy assistant — maybe that’s where I first learned to love adaptive sports.
And a special thank-you to Jenny for telling me about John Dillon Park in New York, a fully accessible place to camp. I think I likely take for granted the ability to shower and use facilities, so that gave me a broader perspective and a lot of appreciation.
I was given permission to film as long as the sports and organizations were properly tagged.
Last week, I met two gorgeous sisters at a lunch hosted by New York State Department of Veterans' Services: Joan Williams and Karen Pascal. They were the keynote speakers—and we instantly connected.
They’re certified health coaches with a genuine desire to help people here and in their native Guyana. Check them out: http://healme/bestself
They provided family photos to create the video below and advocate for GLOW GUIDE—a smart mobility accessory for canes that helps people stay safe in the dark.
The GLOW GUIDE mission:
***Save falls
***Preserve independence
***Reduce loneliness
If this matters to you, please share it with someone who cares about navigating in the dark. Thanks
Caregiving is a real challenge. Let's make nighttime easier. Smarter Lights. Safer Nights. Glow Guide is confidence you can see. https://remMD.com

Had the best time at Theater’s “Cars and Cocktails” event this weekend!
It was a joyful day of music, friends, and gorgeously restored vintage cars—made even better by spending time with founder Jensen and my new friend Amanda.
I was lucky enough to win three auctions that I can’t wait to share with friends:
***A visit to the Gemstone Farm
***A visit to the gourmet Popcorn Factory.
***And the most exciting of all… a custom rap song!
I’m especially excited to hear the lyrics to our song about Glow Guide by remMD—bringing light, safety, and independence to the people we love. Glow Guide is Confidence You Can See.
Grateful to The Prospector Theater for creating meaningful work opportunities and such a fun, inclusive community event. ✨

I spent the day with Mom in Albany accepting Senator Lea Webb's nomination for the Veteran Hall of Fame. Mom was in great spirits getting out on a beautiful day. She is strong and proud. Hope I am as adventurous at 88! thanks Mom 🌹🌹🌹

I was truly honored yesterday to be inducted into the Veterans Wall of Fame by Senator Lea Webb.
It meant even more to share this moment with my mother, who joined me for the ceremony. Having her there made the experience unforgettable.
I also want to recognize two fellow honorees, Denis Oliver and Doneé Smalls, whose service and impact deserve to be celebrated. It was inspiring to stand alongside such remarkable individuals.
I had the privilege of meeting Majority House Speaker Andrea Stewart-Cousins, making the day even more special.
Grateful for this recognition and for the opportunity to continue serving through Glow Guide.
