You may notice a little wire on my client’s toenail in this video. This is Orthonyxia (toenail bracing) — a specialized technique used to gently guide the nail as it grows and help correct the shape of a curved or involuted toenail.
The brace is carefully applied to the nail plate and works gradually, with adjustments as the nail grows. The goal is to encourage a healthier, more natural nail shape and improve comfort.
