🟣 Heart Failure: Signs & Symptoms:

➟ Heart failure means the heart isn’t pumping blood as effectively as it should. This can cause fluid buildup and reduced oxygen delivery to the body. It can develop gradually or worsen suddenly.

➟ Shortness of breath
→ While walking/climbing stairs
→ When lying flat (needing extra pillows)
→ Waking up at night gasping for air
➟ Swelling (fluid retention)
→ Feet/ankles/legs swelling, tight shoes
→ Belly swelling or sudden weight gain from fluid
➟ Unusual fatigue and weakness
→ Getting tired easily, reduced exercise tolerance
➟ Persistent cough or wheezing
→ Often worse at night; may produce frothy sputum
➟ Rapid or irregular heartbeat (palpitations)
→ Feeling “fluttering” or racing heart
➟ Reduced appetite or nausea
→ Feeling full quickly due to fluid congestion in the abdomen
➟ Frequent urination at night
→ Common in fluid overload states
