🌿Know Your Skincare Ingredient🌿

Olive Oil

Olive oil has many benefits for your overall health and especially your skin. It has a variety of great uses and is readily available at your nearest grocery store.

- Care should always be taken when changing anything in your skincare routine to avoid adverse reactions or sensitivity.
- Always use the best quality extra virgin olive oil you can find.
- Avoid using cheaper oils on your skin as the potential for reaction is higher in lower quality olive oil.

There are many beauty products on the market that include olive oil such as face masks, body scrubs and facial cleansers and moisturisers.

Olive Oil

- Makeup remover

Olive oil breaks down any water-resistant substances in makeup, allowing them to be wiped away more easily. It's effectiveness and gentle nature makes it an excellent make up remover for people struggling with harsher commercially available make up removers.

To remove makeup, just add a few drops of olive oil to a cotton ball and gently wipe your face. Wash with a gentle cleanser to remove the oil residue and continue with your skincare routine as normal.

Olive Oil

- Moisturising effects

Olive oil is a popular natural moisturiser that is often used to soften both skin and hair.

It is used by applying it directly to the skin before blotting off excess oil.
Alternatively, the oil can be applied to damp skin to prevent a greasy feeling and aid in absorption.

Add a tablespoon or two to your bath water to give your skin that freshly moisturised feeling after soaking in the tub.

Olive Oil

The olive, known by the botanical name Olea europaea, meaning "European olive", is a species of small tree in the family Oleaceae, found traditionally in the Mediterranean Basin.

The species is cultivated in all the countries of the Mediterranean, as well as in Australia, New Zealand, North and South America and South Africa

Olives are very high in vitamin E and other powerful antioxidants. The healthy fats in olives are extracted to produce olive oil, one of the key components of many health and beauty products.

Coffee

Coffee is a multipurpose product that can potentially offer a variety of skincare benefits.

By adding coffee in any form to your routine you can reap these benefits although it has been proven that it is best used topically as a scrub made from fresh ground coffee beans.

So instead of tossing out your coffee grounds, add them to your skincare routine. Because coffee grounds don’t dissolve in water, they won’t just melt away with a slight spray from your shower head—meaning they’re super effective at sloughing away dead skin cells, boosting circulation, and reducing the appearance of cellulite.

!ALWAYS TAKE CARE IN USING HARSH SCRUBS ON YOUR FACE!

It’s always a good idea to check with your dermatologist if you’re not seeing the desired results from your current skincare routine before making a change. Be sure to give any new skin treatment at least a few weeks before moving on to another treatment.

Coffee

- Reduced Inflammation

The anti-inflammatory effects may be attributed to Chlorogenic Acid (CGA) as well as melanoidins in coffee.
CGA is also linked to reducing hyperpigmentation that may have a connection with increased inflammation in the skin.

Coffee

2. Reduce the appearance of Cellulite.

Coffee may help reduce the appearance of cellulite on the skin. It’s thought that the caffeine content in coffee is the key to cellulite reduction by dilating blood vessels beneath the skin and improving overall blood flow. In turn, this may help decrease the appearance of cellulite.

The benefit of this is best achieved by using a coffee scrub because the added exfoliation from the ground coffee beans also smoothes your skin and can improve its appearance.

Coffee

1. Great Antioxidant

While a cup of coffee can provide antioxidants internally, the purported skin benefits from coffee are primarily obtained topically.

This involves making a mask, scrub, or paste from fresh coffee grounds and applying it to your skin directly.
