This year means so much to me than I could ever put into words ✨
to be nominated as a top 100 finalist in the HAIR AWARDS is an incredible but to be at the ✨THE BTC SHOW✨ exactly year to the date i was told by my Doctor to just get a new job 😳
This time last year was just the beginning of the worst period in my life I really thought it was all over for me and now a year on I’m getting ready to fly to the arguably biggest hair show in world !
because I’m in the top 100 !
I’m so unbelievably proud of myself for getting here because me 10 months ago would not believe it !

What an absolute pleasure it is to be in the top 100 alongside such incredible talent from all around the world 🌎 I feel so blessed
I’m going to the behind the chair show for the very first time aswell 🥺

My hair is shedding so let’s talk about it
my body has been through a lot this past 12 months and it’s been hard mentally and physically and it’s now taking a toll on my hair 🥺
Even though it’s not my first rodeo it’s still horrible!
On average we shead 50-100 hairs a day so if you feel you’re loosing more than usual it’s always good to get it checked
When to see a doctor:
💛 Shedding lasts longer than 2-3 months
💛 You notice thinning patches, not just diffuse shedding
💛 It’s paired with fatigue, weight changes, irregular cycles, or brittle nails
💛 You’re pulling significantly more hair in the shower or on your brush than usual
Bloodwork to ask for:
✔️ Ferritin (iron stores — not just “iron” or hemoglobin)
✔️ TSH (and ideally free T3/T4)
✔️ Vitamin D
✔️ CBC (complete blood count)
✔️ Zinc
✔️ If cycles are irregular: androgens (testosterone, DHEA-S)
Hair shedding isn’t just “vanity” don’t be afraid to go and ask for answers
it’s your body telling you something
You deserve real answers but just know you’re not alone 🤍
