You don’t need Botox. You need to release the frontalis.
The frontalis is the single muscle covering your entire forehead the only muscle lifting your eyebrows and creating every horizontal line you see when you raise them.

Botox works by paralysing this muscle so it cannot contract. No movement, no lines. But also no expression, and over time, muscle atrophy from disuse.

There is another way. Your forehead lines are not only a sign of repeated expression. They are a sign of chronic, unreleased tension. The frontalis holds stress the same way your shoulders or jaw do. It tightens when you’re concentrating, worrying, squinting, or simply holding the weight of your day and most of us never consciously release it. The muscle stays in low-grade contraction for years. The fascia overlying it stiffens. Circulation slows. And the lines deepen not just from movement, but from tissue that has forgotten how to soften.
This is what this technique does. It is not anti-aging through paralysis. It is release through circulation, fascia mobility, and genuine relaxation of a muscle that has been holding on for far too long.

When you work the frontalis this way gliding, releasing, breathing into it you are increasing blood flow to the area, softening the fascia, and signalling the muscle it is safe to let go. The lines don’t disappear because the muscle can’t move. They soften because the muscle finally remembers how to rest.

Do this consistently. Your forehead will feel different within minutes. The lines will tell a different story over time.
This is what I teach in full at my Face Massage Masterclass the anatomy, the why, the technique that actually works with your body instead of against it.

Forget chasing wrinkles.

At 52, I don’t just look after my skin.

I look after the systems underneath my skin.

This is the framework I follow instead of relying on Botox and fillers.

1. SKIN BARRIER HEALTH

Healthy skin starts with a healthy barrier.

✔️ I don’t overuse active ingredients.
✔️ I cycle my actives instead of layering everything.
✔️ I nourish my skin with oils and ingredients that strengthen—not strip.

2. FACIAL MUSCLE HEALTH

Your face has over 40 muscles.

If they become weak, tight or imbalanced, your face changes.

✔️ Face massage
✔️ Face yoga
✔️ Microcurrent
✔️ Buccal massage

3. FASCIA & LYMPHATIC HEALTH

Your skin sits on fascia, and your face relies on healthy lymphatic drainage.

When these tissues become stagnant, the face can look puffy, heavy and tired.

✔️ Gua Sha
✔️ Facial cupping
✔️ Lymphatic massage
✔️ Gentle movement every day

4. COLLAGEN & SKIN REGENERATION

I don’t try to force my skin to look younger.

I encourage it to regenerate.

✔️ Monthly microneedling
✔️ Red light therapy
✔️ Protein-rich nutrition
✔️ Sleep

5. NERVOUS SYSTEM & EMOTIONAL HEALTH

Stress shows up on your face.

Your nervous system influences inflammation, muscle tension, circulation and even how you age.

✔️ Breathwork
✔️ Meditation
✔️ Facial reflexology
✔️ Time in nature
✔️ Good sleep

6. WHOLE-BODY HEALTH

Beautiful skin isn’t created in your bathroom.

It’s created by how you live.

✔️ Strength training
✔️ Walking
✔️ Eating enough protein
✔️ Healthy fats
✔️ Hydration
✔️ Hormonal health
✔️ Joy, purpose and meaningful relationships

This is why I don’t chase one miracle cream.

I build healthy skin from the inside out.

Because glowing skin is never just about the skin.

It’s the reflection of a healthy body, a regulated nervous system and habits you repeat every single day.

1. It makes my dry skin even drier
My skin is naturally dry, and every time I’ve tried retinol, it strips it further, leaving it tight, flaky, and uncomfortable instead of nourished.
2. It can weaken the skin barrier (especially with age)
Retinol speeds up cell turnover, but in the process, it can compromise the barrier, making mature skin more fragile and reactive.
3. It increases water loss from the skin
Retinoids are known to increase transepidermal water loss (TEWL), which means less hydration retention and more dehydration over time.
4. Inflammation is not anti-aging
Even mild, ongoing irritation creates micro-inflammation, which can accelerate collagen breakdown rather than support it.
5. My melasma gets darker with it
This is a big one for me. Retinol makes my skin more photosensitive, and I’ve personally seen my pigmentation deepen instead of improve.
6. It doesn’t address how we actually age
Skin isn’t just about surface turnover. Aging is influenced by fascia, muscle tone, circulation, lymphatic flow, and the nervous system, retinol doesn’t touch any of that.

Today, my skin is healthier than it has been in many years.
It feels stronger, more balanced… and I love the natural glow it has, without the harshness of retinol.

Most people think thinner lips are simply part of aging.

What many don’t realize is that tension around the mouth can change the way your lips look, move, and feel.

This simple massage helps release tightness, improve circulation, and restore mobility to the tissues around the lips — all things that contribute to healthier, softer, naturally fuller-looking lips over time.

No injections.
No gadgets.
Just your hands, consistency, and a few minutes a day.

This is exactly the kind of science-backed facial massage technique I teach inside my Face Massage Masterclass.

I don’t use SPF daily. Not chemical. Not physical. Not anymore.

Chemical sunscreens have been out for me for years the reaction was immediate. Chemical filters work by absorbing UV and converting it to heat inside the skin, generating free radicals and inflammation in the process. For perimenopausal skin where inflammation is already elevated, that is the last thing you need daily.

But here is what took me longer to accept: physical sunscreen was doing the same thing. Slower. More subtly. But over time the emulsifiers, preservatives, silicones, and film-forming agents carrying the zinc oxide were quietly disrupting my skin barrier. In women over 40, where ceramide production is already declining, those daily formulation ingredients add up. A compromised barrier is an inflamed barrier.

So I stopped. Both. And started listening to my skin instead of the industry.

What I understand now that changed everything:

✦ A healthy, intact skin barrier already reflects UV and limits pe*******on naturally
✦ Dietary and topical antioxidants neutralise the free radicals UV generates
✦ Daily SPF that compromises the barrier undermines the skin’s own innate protection

What I do instead: antioxidant nutrition, deep barrier nourishment, and SPF only when I’m in direct prolonged sun selectively and intentionally.

Five years in. My skin is the most settled and healthy it has been. Not despite stopping daily SPF. Because of it.

I’m not telling you to do what I do. I’m asking you to start listening to what YOUR skin is telling you.

Save this. Share it with someone who needs to hear it.

If you’re reading this, chances are your head has been tilted down for hours today.

Phones. Laptops. Texting. Scrolling.

And every minute spent looking down creates tension in the muscles at the base of your skull, the back of your neck, and your upper shoulders.

Over time, this tension can affect posture, restrict circulation, contribute to headaches, increase neck stiffness, and even influence how your face looks and feels.

That’s why one of the first places I work on both on myself and my clients is the occipital area at the back of the neck.

Just a few minutes of massage here can help release built-up tension, improve blood flow, and remind your body to come back into alignment.

So if you’ve been scrolling for a while…

Put your phone down for a moment.

Look up.

Massage the back of your neck.

Your face, posture, and nervous system will thank you.

✨ Stagnation ages faster than time.
