☕ What’s the Difference Between Coffee Roast Levels?

When we talk about coffee, roast level changes everything — flavor, aroma, body, and even acidity. Here’s a simple breakdown:

🟤 Light Roast

Light roast beans are roasted for the shortest time.

• Light brown color
• No oil on the surface
• Higher acidity
• Bright, fruity, floral flavors
• Lighter body

👉 Best for people who enjoy vibrant and complex flavors.

🟫 Medium Roast

Medium roast is the most balanced and popular choice.

• Medium brown color
• Slight oil on surface
• Balanced acidity and body
• Notes of chocolate, nuts, and caramel
• Smooth and well-rounded taste

👉 Perfect for everyday coffee lovers.

⚫ Dark Roast

Dark roast beans are roasted the longest.

• Dark brown to almost black
• Oily surface
• Low acidity
• Bold, smoky, slightly bitter taste
• Full body and heavy mouthfeel

👉 Great for strong coffee fans and espresso lovers.

🎯 Pro Tip for Your Audience

Roast level does NOT mean stronger caffeine.
Light roast often has slightly more caffeine than dark roast (by volume).

☕ What is Cold Brew Coffee?

Cold Brew is a brewing method where coffee is extracted using cold or room-temperature water over a long period of time — usually 12 to 24 hours.
Unlike traditional hot brewing, cold brew pulls out less acid, giving the coffee a smooth, naturally sweet, and refreshing taste.

Because of this smooth profile, cold brew is loved by people who find regular coffee too bitter or too strong on the stomach.

Many baristas consider cold brew the gentle giant of coffee — powerful, yet smooth.

🧊 How Cold Brew is Made

1️⃣ Use coarse ground coffee
2️⃣ Mix with cold water
👉 Ratio: 1 cup coffee : 4 cups water
3️⃣ Let it steep for 12–24 hours
4️⃣ Strain the grounds
5️⃣ Serve over ice, add milk or syrup if desired — and enjoy.

🌿 Why Coffee Lovers Choose Cold Brew

✔ Smooth on the stomach
✔ Rich and bold flavor
✔ Naturally sweet
✔ Perfect for hot weather
✔ Strong caffeine kick without harshness

☕ V60 Coffee Brewing — Step-by-Step Guide

What is V60?
V60 is a pour-over coffee brewing method that gives you full control over flavor, strength, and aroma. It produces a clean, bright, and balanced cup of coffee.

🧰 What You Need
• V60 Dripper
• Paper Filter
• Fresh Coffee Beans
• Grinder
• Scale & Timer
• Kettle
• Hot Water (92–96°C)

🥄 Brewing Recipe (1 Cup)

Coffee: 15–18g (medium-fine grind)
Water: 250–270ml
Total Time: 2–3 minutes

🔥 Brewing Process

1️⃣ Rinse the Filter
Place the paper filter in the dripper and rinse with hot water to remove paper taste.
Discard the rinse water.

2️⃣ Add Coffee Grounds
Add 15–18g of freshly ground coffee.
Gently shake to level the bed.

3️⃣ Bloom (30 seconds)
Pour 30–40ml of hot water (twice the coffee weight).
