This was one of those appointments where my heart truly went out to my client. After 25 years of waxing, seeing someone in pain is never easy.

My timer is only a guide. My client’s lashes make the final decision ✨
One of the biggest mistakes I see in lash lifting is relying purely on processing times.
Every set of lashes processes differently, which is why I always perform a flick (flex)check before removing both Step 1 and Step 2.
I gently lift the lashes away from the shield to create a small V-shape.
If the lashes spring straight back into position quickly, they’re ready.
If they move back slowly, feel floppy, or don’t return completely, they need a little longer.
I repeat this check during both Step 1 and Step 2 because I’m not following a timer—I’m following what the lashes are telling me.
Learning to read the lashes instead of relying on the clock is what creates consistent, beautiful lash lifts.
✨ Ready: The lashes spring back into their new position quickly.
⏳ Not ready: The lashes return slowly, feel soft, or don’t fully bounce
