October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, I thought I'd tell you my secret that I have been keeping for a little while.

~ "Michelle you have CANCER" ~

Words I never thought I would hear. One unexpected moment and everything changed.   One phone call, one diagnosis.  Life can flip in a second.
When I found my lump, I did think I'll just wait until my yearly mammogram due in a few months.   Thankfully, I didn't wait!!!
Within 9 days of finding my lump, I was diagnosed with the dreaded Triple-Negative Breast Cancer.
It's the very aggressive, invasive and fast-growing type.  If I'd waited this may have had different consequences for my family and I.
On a positive note, I caught it early, but due to the type, fast prompt action was important for me.
I'm concentrating on fighting and doing my darnest to get rid of this bloody cancer and my long recovery ahead.
As my treatment journey continues, if I appear to be MIA it's coz I'm working through the side effects and all the challenges yet to come.
As most of you would be aware from my previous post Temporarily Unavailable; 2026 so far has been incredibly challenging and very hard, both personally and in business. 
It's been a huge shock for all of our family – now having two of us battling with the dreaded C.  
With all the specialist appointments, tests, chemo for both of us, the tears, laughter and trying to stay strong for each other, life has certain felt very overwhelming.
The love and support we have received has helped carry us through our dark days but it's been hard and expensive what with fuel, mortgage, ongoing bills, living expenses etc to say the least but we are taking it one step at a time.

To all my lovely customers, clients, followers; Now that I've got your attention, here's an update following the Temporarily Unavailable post.

"a LONG read but need to tell you"
Yes I've been quiet on social media. The start of 2026 has been incredibly challenging, both personally and in business. I nearly didn't share this, as vulnerability doesn't come natural to me. But life reminds us that behind every smile, many people are carrying struggles we can't see.

"the why"
Firstly, thanks to everyone who noticed I wasn't offering footspas, facials and pampers, and reached out to check on me, your kindness means so much.

"the what"
Earlier this year, a close family member underwent emergency surgery to remove a large growth. Sadly, it spread, and we are now navigating the journey of the dreaded "C" word.
The family member has approved this to be published, but out of respect for their privacy, we ask that no names/reference be mentioned from here on.

"the deal"
It's been a huge shock for all of us. Between appointments, tests, chemotherapy, specialists, tears, laughter and trying to stay strong for each other, life has felt overwhelming at times.
The love and support we have received has helped carry us through the dark days.

If something doesn't feel right with your body, please don't ignore it. Trust yourself, ask questions, seek advice, get a second opinion. Your health matters.

"my moving forward"
For now, I'm focusing on family, making memories and appreciating every moment. Things are still a little messy, so I'm taking a small pause, but I'll be back soon with footspas, facials and pampers.
