I did my own version of the Census today. How many birds live at your residence? how many cars are registered to the birds , what religion are they , what s*x do they identify as

Cold wet and windy yesterday but late in the afternoon it cleared up nicely so I thought I’d grab the opportunity as this weekend I am heading to the Pacific Air Show on the Gold Coast. This is the third year in a row I have attempted to go but after a quick exchange with Tony Auden weather guru from Channel 7 News I’m a bit nervous. In the meantime I hope you enjoy these.

A rare visit from a pair of rainbow lorikeets yesterday afternoon, they are such bullies but they are amazing to watch with all their stunning colours. In flight was the name of the game.

Something very joyful about these guys , maybe just happy to see us at home again.

Camped up tonight at a lovely little farm stay with a great sunset to boot. The site is a little steep but the owner is letting us sleep inside in a king sized bed. 5400 kms later we are home.
