It’s not the wax that scares beginner brow artists… it’s everything that could go wrong. 👀

And after 19 years in the beauty industry, I know exactly why.

Brow waxing is one of those skills that looks so simple until you’re the one holding the wax spatula.

Am I applying too much pressure? Am I holding the skin correctly? What if I remove too much hair? What if the brows aren’t symmetrical?

These are the things that can make beginners second-guess every move.

But here’s what I’ve learnt over the years…

CONFIDENCE COMES FROM UNDERSTANDING, NOT JUST MEMORISING STEPS.💗

When you understand hair growth, skin tension, wax placement, pressure and, most importantly, how to troubleshoot when things don’t go to plan, everything starts to make sense.

Because real clients don’t come with textbook-perfect brows.

And being a great brow artist isn’t about never facing challenges. It’s about knowing how to assess, adapt and make the right decisions.

That’s the difference between simply knowing a treatment and truly understanding your craft.
And if there’s one thing I’m passionate about, it’s making sure the next generation of brow artists feel prepared for the real world.
