IPL uses pulses of light to target melanin within areas of pigmentation. The light is absorbed by the pigment, which can then become darker before gradually fading as the skin naturally clears it.
With a course of treatments, IPL may help improve the appearance of pigmentation and create a more even-looking skin tone. Results depend on the type and depth of pigmentation, your skin and how it responds to treatment.
Spring can also be a useful time to address pigmentation. Starting before summer allows time for your skin to settle and for your treatment plan to progress before increased UV exposure and time outdoors.
If pigmentation is something you’d like to discuss, pop in for a chat with us about whether IPL may be suitable for your skin. 💚

Pigmentation is often more noticeable after periods of increased sun exposure. UV exposure can stimulate melanin production, which can contribute to existing pigmentation becoming darker or new pigmentation developing.
That’s one reason spring can be a useful time to address pigmentation, before we move into the higher UV months and increased time outdoors that comes with summer.
Depending on your skin, the type of pigmentation and your treatment history, IPL may be recommended as part of your treatment plan. An assessment allows us to determine whether it’s appropriate for you and how best to approach your concerns.
If pigmentation is something you’d like to address before summer, pop in and have a chat with us. 💚

Do you catch yourself clenching your jaw during the day?
Maybe it happens when you’re concentrating at your desk, driving, working through a stressful day, or even when you’re asleep and don’t realise it.
Over time, that repeated clenching can leave the jaw feeling tight, tired or uncomfortable. You may also notice tension around the temples or down into the neck.
It’s something we pay particular attention to in our facials at Byron Eve, especially when jaw and neck tension is part of what you’re experiencing.
If you’re someone who regularly clenches or carries tension through your jaw, tell us when you come in. It’s useful information when we’re considering how to approach your treatment.

Our Lift & Sculpt facials bring together skincare with hands-on facial massage, lymphatic drainage and focused tension-reduction techniques.
The skin still gets the attention it needs, but the treatment also considers the face, neck and jaw, where tension may be held, how those areas are feeling, and where lymphatic drainage may be incorporated.
It may also be considered when concerns such as clenching, grinding or TMJ are part of the picture.
Lymphatic drainage is another important part of the treatment. It works by moving lymph fluid through the tissues towards the lymph nodes, which can help reduce puffiness and support fluid circulation.
The facial massage and sculpting techniques then work across the face, helping to create a more awake, defined appearance while working through areas of tension.
So it isn't simply a facial with a massage added on.
It's a skin treatment with the face, neck and jaw considered as part of the whole treatment.
If you're experiencing concerns around your jaw, neck or facial tension and want to know whether Lift & Sculpt may be suitable for you, pop in for a chat with us. 🤍

At Byron Eve, the hands-on part of our facials is deliberate. Pressure, direction, pace and the areas we focus on are all considered as we work across the face, jaw and neck.
We’re responding to what we see and feel during the treatment rather than treating every face exactly the same way.
That’s where our Lift & Sculpt techniques comes into the picture, considering facial anatomy, intentional touch and lymphatic drainage.
A facial should be more than a series of products and steps.
The way it’s performed matters too.

Why lymphatic drainage during a facial?
Your face has an extensive network of lymphatic vessels that help move lymph fluid through the tissues and towards lymph nodes.
The lymphatic system helps move excess fluid and waste away from the tissues.
Lymphatic drainage uses gentle, rhythmic movements to encourage this natural flow.
In a facial, this can help:
• Reduce the appearance of puffiness
• Support fluid movement through the facial tissues
• Leave the face looking less congested and more refreshed
• Give the complexion a more awake, radiant appearance
It’s one of the reasons we incorporate lymphatic drainage into our Lift & Sculpt facials. It can be worked through the face, jaw and neck alongside the other hands-on techniques used throughout the treatment.
The result is a facial that considers more than the skin alone.

You might notice it when you wake up with a tight jaw, catch yourself clenching during the day, or feel like your shoulders and neck are constantly holding tension.
The face can carry tension too, particularly around the jaw and temples, with the neck often becoming part of the picture.
That’s why these areas get particular attention during our Lift & Sculpt facials. As we work across the face, we can identify areas that feel tense and incorporate techniques and lymphatic drainage with those areas in mind.
If jaw or neck tension is something you regularly notice, it’s worth mentioning when you come in. It can help us understand what you’re experiencing and how to approach your facial.
