Good to start the day off with a decent run into Brisbane CBD this morning, even if the humidity is a touch on the warm side. Plenty of other runners out this morning too.

It may seem surprising, but correct pillow support and sleeping position can affect more than just a good night's sleep. Inadequate support can result in additional soft tissue loading, contributing to new musculoskeletal issues and exacerbating preexisting neck, shoulder and back pain symptoms. Overloading of tissues can result in painful muscle spasms and the formation of myofascial trigger points, which can have relevance to headaches and migraines. Although muscle spasms and myofascial trigger points are easily treatable with the correct approach, knowledge and myofascial release techniques, prevention is a better strategy. Some in the field like to talk the talk, whereas I prefer to walk the walk. Today was a nice early 14km run into Brisbane CBD before 7am and it was even 25 degrees, muggy and humid at that time.

Even with Brisbane's current humidity, it was good to get out for some further soft tissue performance testing with a hilly 20km run. Tissues are still adapting to the soft tissue scar treatment work, and a few issues are still noticeable with the additional loads hills add to the mix.
