Kissing spine can be so debilitating for some horses 🐴💔
Ocean has been showing signs that there may be pain through his back, and it’s something that has been bothering him.
So I’ve booked him in to investigate and rule out kissing spine.
I always think it’s important to listen when the body keeps giving you clues.
Sometimes what looks like behaviour, tension or resistance can actually be pain.
The body always tells a story — we just have to be willing to listen.
Fingers crossed we get some answers for him 🤞💛
And sorry about the wind in this video 🌬️😅
Definitely need to set up the microphone better next time!

We had a lovely afternoon playing ponies with clicker training and liberty, they were all following us around like big puppies 😍
The sky was impressive too
Thoughts are with the brumbies, If I could have taken some I totally would have 😢
Bandage Guts enjoying stretching his legs with Ocean today 🐎💨💛
And wow… he enjoyed every second of it 😍
He absolutely loves running now that he’s feeling amazing inside and out.
It’s been incredible watching him heal.
Not just his body… but his whole personality too.
He’s quite the character 😂 and as his body has unwrapped from pain, tension and dysfunction… his personality has unwrapped right alongside it.
That’s the beautiful part of rehabilitation.
Sometimes you don’t really meet the true horse until they feel good enough to show you who they are ✨
And look at that shine 😍
He barely wears a rug because I truly believe the sun has healing properties ☀️
Plus, when you don’t rug, you can learn a lot about your horse’s true health through their coat, condition and how well they regulate themselves.
The body always tells a story 💛🐴

What did you get up to? Bike riding definitely felt less torturous this Sunday Yey 🙌
I’m trying to get fit again, bike ridings great for building fitness and leg strength to ride 🐴🐴 again. I’ve felt soo weak for ages - with low ferritin/ iron

One thing I’ve noticed over the years... 🐴✨
A horse that is truly healthy on the inside often carries a more even, solid coat colour throughout their body.
When the gut is dysregulated, minerals are out of balance, or the body is under chronic stress, you’ll often see it in the coat first.
Sometimes they’ll have shine through the forehand and gluteals… but the middle of the body looks bleached, dull or “off.”
The coat can tell us a lot.
It can reflect:
🌿 Gut health
🌿 Nutrient absorption
🌿 Mineral balance
🌿 Stress levels
🌿 Internal inflammation
The body is always giving us clues.
We just have to learn how to read them 💛
Ohh my tonight we just discovered how to stop and pause a reel 🤣🙌
This is what these two TB’s got fed on this very rainy evening
Hugh is healing from acidosis, corn overload bowel impaction and he somehow had a Elastoplast bandage in his gut too
Ocean he has had chronic diarrhoea and acidosis that no one could fix, he’s now doing lovely solid poos
Nature knows how to heal the body if you put the right steps in place
😍
I do not know how to do social media 🤣 I just figured out how to do rolling reels 🤣.
Ohhh my god

Dancer girl’s first long trail walk today... 7.2km 🙌💪🐴
What a champion she was 💛
A question for you...
Do you think horses experience chronic stress and burnout?
Because I do.
When Dancer came to me, she wasn’t “untrainable.”
She was stuck in a chronic stress cycle.
Her nervous system was constantly switched on, her body was struggling, and she was carrying nutritional deficiencies that were affecting her ability to cope, learn and recover.
You can’t expect a horse to thrive when they’re surviving.
So instead of pushing her harder, I gave her time.
🌿 Time to heal🌿 Time to feel safe🌿 Time to build her body back up🌿 Time to learn that the world wasn’t so scary
Sunday, almost a year later, she marched out on her first long trail walk like an absolute superstar 🙌
For me, rehabilitation isn’t about fixing horses.
It’s about creating the conditions that allow them to heal.
And Dancer is proof of what’s possible when you support the body, brain and nervous system from the inside out 💛✨

This is something I’ve been doing for years, and I absolutely love it 😍🐴🌴🌲do you walk your horse?
It’s such an easy way to build:
🌿 Balance
🌿 Core strength
🌿 Topline
🌿Hindquarter strength
🌿 Mental resilience
🌿 A deeper relationship from the ground
Dancer has been with me for almost a year now 💛
When she arrived, she was stuck in a chronic stress and burnout cycle from her early career as an Arabian show horse.
She was sleep deprived, struggled to maintain weight, very weak in posture and stability and couldn’t build muscle.
You can’t truly train a horse that’s trapped in those patterns.
First, they need to feel safe. They need to heal.
So that’s what we did.
I gave her time.
I fed her well.
I loved on her.
And slowly she started becoming herself again ✨
Today, seeing her confidently walk out through nature and suburbia, trusting me and engaged, makes me so proud of how far she’s come.
She’s beautiful 😍Don’t you think? 💛🐴
She loves her hood too
