🌿 INGREDIENT HIGHLIGHT: NIACINAMIDE

As we head into the warmer months, it’s time to give your skin some extra support. ☀️✨

Niacinamide, a form of vitamin B3, is a summer-friendly skincare ingredient that can help:
✨ Support a healthy skin barrier 💧 Improve the look of dehydration 🌿 Calm the appearance of redness 🤍 Help regulate excess oil ☀️ Improve the appearance of uneven skin tone

It’s a versatile ingredient that can be a great addition to your routine as we move into summer — especially when heat, humidity, sweat and increased sun exposure can leave your skin feeling a little more challenged.

And remember: niacinamide doesn’t replace your SPF! Daily sun protection is still your skin’s summer essential. ☀️

Want to know whether niacinamide is right for your skin? Chat with the Elysium Skin Centre team on 07 3214 1400 🤍

ONE SKIN CONCERN, MULTIPLE TREATMENT OPTIONS ✨

When it comes to your skin, there isn't always one treatment that does it all.

Your skin concerns can be complex — and sometimes different treatments can target different aspects of the same concern.

For example, if you're dealing with uneven skin, you may also be experiencing pigmentation, congestion, dehydration or changes in texture.

That’s why choosing a treatment shouldn't be about following the latest trend. It should be about understanding what your skin actually needs. 🤍

DIFFERENT CONCERNS. DIFFERENT APPROACHES.
✨ FACIALS & SKIN TREATMENTS
Great for supporting overall skin health, hydration, congestion and maintaining a healthy-looking complexion.
🧬 DERMAPEN
Can stimulate collagen production and help improve the appearance of skin texture, fine lines and certain types of scarring.
💫 LASEMD
Can be used to target concerns such as pigmentation, uneven tone and texture.
🔥 CO₂ LASER
A more intensive resurfacing option that may be considered for certain deeper textural concerns, scarring and signs of skin ageing.
💧 SKIN BOOSTERS & SKIN-QUALITY TREATMENTS
Depending on the treatment, these can focus on hydration, skin quality and supporting a smoother, fresher-looking complexion.
At Elysium Skin Centre, we assess your skin first and then recommend treatments based on your skin, your concerns and your goals.
Because there is no one-size-fits-all approach to great skin. 🤍

✨ Your skin is unique. Your treatment plan should be too.
Book a consultation with Elysium Skin Centre to discover what may be right for your skin.

LASEMD ULTRA Vs CO₂ — WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE? 🔥

If you’ve been looking into laser treatments, you’ve probably come across LaseMD ULTRA and CO₂ — but they’re not the same thing.

So, what’s the difference? 👇
✨ LASEMD ULTRA
LaseMD ULTRA is a fractional, non-ablative laser designed to stimulate the skin while leaving the surface largely intact.
It can be used to target concerns such as:
🔹 Pigmentation & uneven skin tone
🔹 Dullness
🔹 Enlarged pores
🔹 Fine lines
🔹 Uneven texture
🔹 Certain types of acne scarring

It’s a great option for those wanting to improve skin quality and achieve a fresher, more even-looking complexion with generally less downtime than more intensive resurfacing treatments.

🔥 CO₂ LASER
CO₂ is a more intensive ablative resurfacing treatment that removes controlled layers of the skin to trigger a deeper healing and renewal response.
It may be considered for concerns such as:
🔹 Deeper acne scarring
🔹 More pronounced textural concerns
🔹 Deeper lines and wrinkles
🔹 Sun damage
🔹 Skin resurfacing
Because it is a more intensive treatment, CO₂ generally involves more downtime and recovery.

SO WHICH ONE IS BETTER?
There isn't a simple answer. 🤍
More intense doesn't automatically mean better.
The right treatment depends on your skin, concern you're treating, your desired outcome and how much downtime you're comfortable with.
At Elysium Skin Centre, we assess your skin and create a personalised treatment plan rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

✨ LaseMD ULTRA or CO₂? Your skin will tell us.

YOUR 20s AREN’T ABOUT “ANTI-AGEING” — THEY’RE ABOUT SKIN HEALTH. ✨

Your 20s are the perfect time to start understanding your skin — not because you need to “fix” it, but because healthy skin is something worth investing in at every age. 🤍

At this stage, your concerns might be completely different from someone else’s.
You might be dealing with:
🔹 Acne or congestion
🔹 Acne scarring or uneven texture
🔹 Pigmentation and sun damage
🔹 Enlarged pores
🔹 Dehydrated or dull-looking skin
🔹 Early changes in skin texture
🔹 Or simply wanting to maintain healthy, glowing skin
And there isn't one treatment that does everything.

Depending on your skin and goals, professional treatments may include facials, Dermapen, laser treatments, skin rejuvenation treatments and other personalised options.

The important part? Choosing the right treatment for YOUR skin.
At Elysium Skin Centre, we don't believe in treating everyone the same. Your skin deserves an individual assessment and a treatment plan designed around what it actually needs.

✨ Don't chase every TikTok treatment. Understand your skin first.
Your 20s are about building good habits, protecting your skin and investing in its long-term health.

✨ Acne scars don’t have to be forever.

At Elysium Skin Centre, Dermapen can help improve the appearance of acne scarring by creating controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating your body’s natural collagen and elastin production.

Over a series of treatments, this can help:
• Soften the appearance of acne scars
• Improve uneven skin texture
• Refine the look of enlarged pores
• Encourage smoother, more even-looking skin

For best results, we have a range of treatments that can complement Dermapen and be incorporated into your personalised skin plan. By combining treatments strategically, we can target different aspects of acne scarring, texture and overall skin health. 🤍

Because every skin and scar is different, your treatment plan is tailored to you and your skin’s needs.

WHAT ARE SKIN BOOSTERS? 💧✨

You may have heard the term “skin booster” — but what does it actually mean?
Skin boosters are treatments designed to focus on skin quality, rather than simply changing the shape or structure of the face.

Depending on the treatment, skin boosters may be used to support:
💧 Hydration — helping the skin look more plump, supple and refreshed.
🧬 Collagen production — certain treatments can stimulate the skin’s natural collagen-building processes, supporting firmness and skin structure.
✨ Skin texture — helping improve the appearance of uneven or dull-looking skin.
🤍 Overall skin quality — supporting a smoother, healthier and more radiant-looking complexion.

WHY DO PEOPLE CHOOSE SKIN BOOSTERS?
Because sometimes the goal isn't to dramatically change your appearance — it's simply to improve the quality of your skin.

At Elysium Skin Centre, we offer a range of skin treatments and can tailor your treatment plan depending on your individual skin concerns, goals and what your skin needs.

There isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to great skin. ✨

Want to know which skin treatment could be right for you? Book a consultation with our team.

COLLAGEN VS ELASTIN — WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE? ✨
You’ve probably heard of collagen, but did you know your skin also relies on another important protein called elastin?

Think of them as the skin’s dynamic duo. 🤍
🧬 COLLAGEN = SUPPORT

Collagen provides structure and strength, helping your skin look firm, smooth and supported.

As collagen production declines with age, you may notice:
🔹 Fine lines and wrinkles
🔹 Loss of firmness
🔹 Changes in skin texture
🔹 Skin appearing thinner or less plump

🌀 ELASTIN = BOUNCE
Elastin gives your skin its stretch and bounce. It helps your skin return to its original shape after being stretched or moved.
As elastin becomes less abundant and less functional over time, skin can begin to lose some of its elasticity and resilience.

☀️ WHAT AFFECTS THEM?
Ageing is only one part of the picture. UV exposure, smoking and environmental stressors can contribute to the breakdown and damage of collagen and elastin.
That’s why protecting your skin with daily SPF and maintaining a consistent skincare routine are so important. ✨

SO, WHY DOES THIS MATTER?
Supporting your skin’s collagen/elastin and overall skin health can help maintain a firmer, smoother and more resilient appearance over time.
At Elysium Skin Centre, we offer a range of professional treatments designed to support skin rejuvenation and improve overall skin quality, including treatments that stimulate collagen production.

Because great skin isn’t just about what you see on the surface — it’s about the health and structure underneath. 🤍

✨ Look after your skin now, and it will thank you later.

WHAT ACTUALLY CAUSES ACNE SCARS? 🧬

Ever wondered why some breakouts disappear without a trace, while others leave behind texture or pigmentation?

Acne scarring can occur when inflammation from acne damages the deeper layers of the skin. As the skin repairs itself, it may produce too little or too much collagen, which can result in changes to the skin’s texture.

There are different types of acne scarring:
🔹 Ice pick scars — small, deep indentations in the skin.
🔹 Rolling scars — broader depressions that create an uneven, wavy appearance.
🔹 Boxcar scars — wider, defined depressions with sharper edges.
🔹 Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation — dark or brown marks left behind after a breakout.
🔹 Post-inflammatory erythema — red or pink marks that can remain after acne has healed.

So, why do some people scar more than others?
Genetics, the severity and duration of acne, inflammation, skin type and picking or squeezing breakouts can all play a role.

The good news? Acne scarring can often be improved. 🤍

At Elysium Skin Centre, we offer a range of treatments that can be tailored to your individual skin concerns. Treatments such as Dermapen and laser-based skin rejuvenation may help improve the appearance of uneven texture and stimulate collagen production.

Your skin is unique — and your treatment plan should be too.

✨ Book a consultation with our team to find out which approach may be right for your skin.
