Want to try something new these holidays?
Come and find out what rowing training actually feels like on land. Sunday 11 October at the Red Shed, the last Sunday before term starts. You’ll work through the ergs, the bike and the strength work with our coaches, and walk away with a head start for when you do get on the water.
Free, ages 13 to 18, no experience needed.

Looking for something different to do these school holidays? Whether you want to try rowing for the first time, sharpen your skills before the school season, or get some quality training in, we’ve got a program for you!
We have 3 programs available these holidays:
🌟 LEARN TO ROW | 9AM–12PM
Never rowed before? This one’s for you! Learn the basics of rowing, get comfortable in a boat, understand the movement and have some fun while meeting kids from different schools. No experience needed!
🚣 CONTINUE TO ROW | 9AM–12PM
Rowed before? Get back in the boat, clean up your technique and build your confidence before heading back into the school rowing season. It’s also a great chance to row with some new people!
🔥 ELITE | 6AM–8AM
For experienced junior rowers who are competent at racing and ready to train. Refine your technique, work on holding pace and get some quality sessions in before returning to school rowing.
Whether you’re brand new or race-ready, come spend part of your school holidays on the water at Red Shed! ❤️

🗓️ Program Dates
Training starts week of 7 September and runs over 6 weeks
👥 Who Can Enter?
Crews of 4 for rowers – from complete first-timers to returning regatta crews
🏁 Regatta Day
Friday 30 October, 4:00–6:00pm at the Golden Oar Regatta
Racing in quads on 450m Golden Oar laned course, with handicaps for mixed crews and a novice category for crews with first-time rowers
💰 Cost
$4,500 + GST per crew
✅ Includes
9 x 90min private coaching sessions • Access to Red Shed’s premium new boats • Showers, bathrooms & towel service • Spring Fling Regatta entry • optional entry in the ProAm 8s race at Golden Oar
