BASE or DESIGN. Which matters more to you? 👀💅🏼
For me, it will always be THE BASE.
You can execute the most detailed nail art, but if the structure underneath isn’t right, the finished set will never reach its full potential.
Whether you’re working with acrylic, builder gel or Gel-X, correct application matters.
A poorly applied base can result in:
- Nails appearing wide, bulky or uneven
- Incorrect or missing apex = compromised strength
- Over-filed sidewalls = weakened structure & potential breakage
- Excessive product = unnecessary bulk and more time spent debulking
- Poor application around the cuticle = increased risk of lifting
Your colour and design should enhance the shape and structure of the nail, not hide it.
That’s why I’m constantly working on perfecting my base before worrying about the design.
Structure. Shape. Application. Then design.
Because a clean base can make even the simplest design look expensive.
Perfect the foundation and everything you put on top will look better.
