📦 Ever wondered what actually fills a day at Moon Haven once the orders are packed?
That is where the day can head in all sorts of directions.
Some days it is soapmaking. Other days it might be preparing herbal infusions, restocking, pouring oils or simply working through whatever needs attention next.
That is probably the part people do not see as often. There is a lot happening in the background between an order coming in and the finished products heading out.

🧼 Some soap batches are apparently more appetising than others.
Chris and Julia are making a fresh batch of our Lemongrass Soap, and Chris has some fairly strong opinions about the colour before it becomes the finished bar 😂
Thankfully, soapmaking has never required the mixture to look particularly delicious along the way.

🐾 Pet-safe aromatherapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer.

If you share your home with cats or dogs, it’s worth being a little more thoughtful about what goes into the diffuser and how you use it.

Some essential oils are best avoided around pets altogether, while others need a more cautious approach. The important part is knowing which oils are suitable to use around your animals and using them with your pets in mind.

🌿 A little DIY aromatherapy starts with the right base.

Essential oils shouldn’t be applied undiluted to the skin, so for a massage oil they need to be blended into a carrier oil first.

Coconut oil is one option, but it’s not the only one. You can also use jojoba oil, sweet almond oil or grapeseed oil as your carrier, depending on what you already have or prefer to use.

Then you can mix it up depending on the day. Something fresh, something calming, something uplifting, or just whatever you feel like that day.
