A Personal Update From Your Hair By Me

To my beautiful clients,

This is a post I never thought I’d need to write.

Due to a formal complaint made to council by a neighbour, we are required to make some changes to how we operate.

As a small home-based business built with love, this hasn’t been easy. Your Hair By Me is more than a salon to me — it supports my family and has become a safe space for so many of you. But we will absolutely respect and comply with council regulations moving forward.

• Max 2 clients at one time
• Max 8 clients per day
• Adjusted trading hours

New Hours

✨ Teleisha – Mon–Thurs 8am–6pm
✨ Kim – Wed 9–1 | Thurs 9–1 | Fri 9–6 | Every 2nd Sat 8–5

If you already have appointments booked outside these hours, you can absolutely keep them. Future bookings will align with the new hours, and late appointments outside the updated times will be contacted to reschedule.

Please also park in the driveway when attending your appointment to help us remain considerate of our neighbours.

With limited daily spots available, I kindly encourage booking in advance.

Your Hair By Me

✨ The Great Grey Blend + Big Chop Transformation ✨

My gorgeous client — aka GG — has been dreaming of a change for a long time… and today we finally made it happen 🙌

She wanted to softly blend her natural wisdom highlights (aka greys 😉) for a more low-maintenance grow-out and go for a big chop. So we started exactly where it made sense — removing everything that didn’t need to be coloured first ✂️

From there, I created a full head of back-to-back foils, carefully following her natural growth pattern of light and dark. By alternating blonde and medium ash blonde foils, we were able to mimic her natural placement and create the most seamless, lived-in result — meaning softer regrowth and less upkeep 👏

To finish, we toned through the mids and ends with a light ash blonde to neutralise any leftover warmth or brass from previous colour… chef’s kiss 🤍✨

GG went home armed with an ash blue shampoo to keep things cool, bright and fresh between visits — because maintenance matters!

This colour transition is all about supporting her journey back to her natural hair… and I’m so happy with the progress we made on her very first session 🥹

Low maintenance. Soft grow-out. Big confidence boost.

Beautiful vanilla biscuit blonde, we changed things up slightly today and did a reverse balayage with face framing highlights.

Can you believe it’s less than 11 weeks till Christmas!

For some of you it’s only 1-2 hair appointments away.

We will be opening until the 23rd of December this year.

Closed from the 24th of December 2025 and reopening the 12th of January 2026.
