Old lip blush. New artist. What happens next? 👩‍🔬

Working over another artist’s lip blush isn’t always straightforward, so here’s exactly how I approached this one.

First, I assessed the existing tattoo.

Before doing anything, I looked closely at where the previous pigment was sitting and made sure all of it was contained within the natural lip tissue. If pigment is sitting outside the lip border, that can completely change how I approach a correction.

Then I mapped the existing tattoo.

I actually mapped over the previous work first. This allowed me to see how the existing shape presented once it had more definition and gave me a much clearer picture of where the asymmetry was coming from.

Then I wiped it all off.

And started again.

This time I mapped according to my own rules for balance and symmetry, while still respecting her natural anatomy and the tattoo already underneath.

And when I say I took my time, I mean it.

I spent a good part of an hour mapping these lips. I wiped them off and adjusted them numerous times until I was happy with the shape before I even considered outlining and numbing.

Because when you’re correcting previous work, a couple of millimetres can make a huge difference.

Then came colour. 🍑

Her previous lip blush had healed darker than she had originally wanted, so the last thing I wanted to do was add another heavily saturated layer.

I chose Mara Pro for its beautiful sheer quality and worked gently with the pigment rather than packing in colour. The goal was a fresh, glossy peachy n**e pink that could heal soft and natural.

There’s a lot more happening in a correction like this than simply tattooing over what’s already there.

Assess. Map. Remove. Remap. Refine. Then tattoo.

And sometimes the most important part of the appointment happens before the machine is even switched on.

Mara Pro Pigments 50/50 Cherry Blossom and Brownie Pink. The perfect Pinky/Peachy n**e.

💋 Lip Blush for mature lips

As we age, our lips can gradually lose some of their natural colour and definition. The border can become softer, the tone a little more muted, and the lips can appear less defined than they once did.

That’s where a beautifully considered Lip Blush tattoo can make such a difference.

Rather than creating a harsh or obvious lip line, I use carefully selected pigment to softly restore colour, enhance the natural lip shape and bring back definition around the border.

The goal isn’t to make your lips look “done”.

It’s to make them look fresher, softer and beautifully defined, even without lipstick. ✨

For mature clients, pigment choice and technique matter. I customise the colour to your natural lip tone, skin tone and the result you want, keeping everything soft, flattering and age appropriate.

⚠️ Graphic treatment photos ahead.

Not every tattoo removal journey is straightforward.

This beautiful client came to me after multiple laser removal sessions elsewhere. Although a significant amount of pigment had faded on the surface, there was still a large amount of stubborn pigment remaining deeper within the skin. More concerning was the condition of the tissue itself.

The skin over the tattoo had become noticeably thickened and firm. While it’s difficult to fully appreciate in photos, the texture change was significant and was preventing the remaining pigment from clearing effectively.

Rather than focusing solely on removing pigment, our treatment plan needed to prioritise restoring the health of the skin.

Using my specialised glycolic tattoo removal technique combined with collagen induction, we’ve been able to:

✨ Break down thickened, fibrotic tissue.
✨ Encourage healthier collagen remodelling.
✨ Improve the overall texture and flexibility of the skin.
✨ Continue lifting stubborn pigment that had become increasingly difficult to remove.

Healthy skin responds better to treatment, which is why skin restoration is such an important part of the removal process.

Every case is different, and sometimes the biggest improvements aren’t just about what you can see in a before and after photo they’re about what’s happening beneath the surface.

These images document that journey and are shared for educational purposes. Please be aware that some treatment photos are graphic.

If you’ve been told your tattoo can’t be improved any further, or you’ve reached a plateau with previous removal treatments, there may still be options worth exploring.

Thicker looking lashes. Zero mascara.

This is a lash enhancement tattoo. One of the most subtle cosmetic tattoo treatments you can have, but one that makes a beautiful difference every single day.

By placing pigment between your natural lashes, your lash line looks fuller and your eyes appear more defined without looking like you’re wearing traditional eyeliner.

Perfect for every age and ideal if you love a soft, effortless look.

Choose from soft dark brown for the most natural finish or classic black for a little more definition. Every treatment is customised to suit your features and style.

It’s simply your eyes… just a little more polished.

POV: Your brows finally match your aesthetic. 🖤

Not everyone wants fluffy brows, and that’s the beauty of cosmetic tattoo.

For this gorgeous client, we went with a slimmer, lifted shape to suit her features and her style.

The goal isn’t to give everyone the same brows. It’s to create the right brows for you.

Some of my favourite brow transformations are on mature clients.

Not because they’re dramatic, but because they’re so beautifully subtle.

As we age, our brows naturally become finer, sparser and lose definition. A few carefully placed nano hair strokes can restore what time has softened, without changing the face that people know and love.

The goal is never to create “tattooed brows.”

It’s to create brows that look like they could have always been yours.

Every stroke is placed to mimic real hair, adding gentle fullness, shape and lift while keeping everything soft, fluffy and completely natural.
Great cosmetic tattooing shouldn’t be the first thing people notice.

They should simply think you look well rested, refreshed, and somehow more like yourself.

Beautiful brows aren’t about age.

They’re about creating results that still feel like you.

Some women don’t want a bold lip tattoo. They just want their natural lips back.

This beautiful client wanted the softest enhancement possible. No harsh outline. No lipstick look. No overdone colour. Just a subtle restoration of lost definition and natural tone so her lips still feel completely her.

A conservative lip blush like this is all about balance.Soft borders. Gentle colour. Natural healing.

The goal?People noticing you look fresh and healthy… not noticing you’ve had cosmetic tattooing.

This style is perfect for women who:• Have lost colour through the lips with age• Feel their lip borders have faded• Want a low maintenance everyday look• Are nervous about lip blush looking “too much”• Prefer timeless, natural beauty over trends

Healed results will soften beautifully into the lips for that barely-there enhancement.

Natural lip blush and soft cosmetic tattooing will always have my heart 🤍

Have you ever wondered what actually happens during a lip blush appointment? 👀

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes of the process…

Image 1: Before
Natural lips with soft shape and minimal border definition

Image 2: Mapping
This is where the magic starts ✨
Carefully mapping to enhance your natural shape, not overdraw or create something that doesn’t belong to your face

Image 3: Fresh result
Straight after treatment — slightly more vibrant due to swelling and stimulation, but this will soften beautifully as it heals

Lip blush isn’t about changing your lips
It’s about restoring what’s already there
Definition
Balance
A healthy, natural wash of colour

Perfect for anyone who feels like their lips have lost shape, colour or just need a little extra life

And no… we’re not overlining
We’re enhancing what you’ve already got 🤍

Healing will soften this result by around 30–50% and we refine everything at your perfecting session

The goal every single time?
Undetectable, effortless, “I woke up like this” lips

If you’ve been thinking about it… this is your sign ✨

Soft doesn’t mean invisible… it means intentional ✨

This gorgeous client is a Fitzpatrick 1 with red hair and very fair skin, which means we need to be super mindful with colour.

Too cool = ashy
Too dark = overpowering
Too bright = artificial

So instead, we built a soft peachy tone that works with her natural colouring, not against it 🍑

The goal here wasn’t bold.
It was definition.

Just enough structure to enhance her lip shape
Just enough warmth to bring life back into the lips
And still soft enough to look like she woke up like this

No harsh lines
No overlining
No lipstick look

Just her lips… but better

This is what lip blush should look like when it’s done right 💁🏼‍♀️

Swipe through 👉
Before → Mapping → Straight off the needle → Finished with a touch of gloss

This is exactly what lip blush should look like.
Soft. Fresh. Natural.

No harsh outlines. No heavy lipstick effect.
Just a subtle enhancement of what’s already there.

This client already had beautiful lips — we’ve just refined the shape, boosted the colour and brought everything back to life ✨

What you’re seeing here is raw footage, taken immediately after the treatment.
No smoothing. No colour correction. No tricks.

And it’s only going to soften and heal even more beautifully.

If you’ve been scared of lip blush looking too bold or fake… this is your sign.

Your lips, just better 💋
