Trim or treatment? I get asked this almost every week in the chair, so here's how I actually make that call.

A trim is about length and shape. If your ends feel dry or wispy, you're seeing split ends, fraying, or your cut has lost its shape, that's a trim.

A treatment is about condition. If your hair lacks strength, moisture or shine, you're maintaining colour or heat styled hair, or you're noticing breakage before the ends even split, that's a treatment, not scissors.
