“I had worked on many different types of musk fragrances, but never on a woody, vegetal one.
I created Parisian Musc in 2019 for the inaugural collection of MATIERE PREMIERE with this idea. I built it around Ambrette Seed, the only vegetal musk ingredient in the Perfumers’ palette.
I also love the urban, modern side of musks. The touch of fig leaf was inspired by a particular fig tree standing in the otherwise very mineral district of Le Marais in Paris. Urban and vegetal.”
