I’m all for giving everything a go. But when a client is considering a change that you both know won’t suit them. Sometimes it’s a colour or haircut you’ve tried, and it looked horrendous on them. Sometimes your skills are screaming at you no no no. Sometimes it comes down to the maintenance, it’s not maintainable for your client. Sometimes it’s about the cost, it’s a more expensive service and it’s something your client has expressed they don’t want to pay.
If those things aren’t in the way, then let’s make a change! But part of being a good hairdresser, is considering everything. Because I don’t want you coming back next week hating it, and having to go through colour correction.
So when I say no, it’s always coming from a good place ❤️

This has been a decision I’ve been sitting with for a long time, but I’ve decided to take a break from hairdressing.
For over half my life, hair has been a huge part of who I am. I’ve loved creating, chatting, laughing, celebrating milestones with clients, and building my little salon from home.
Lately, though, I’ve felt called to slow down, to prioritise time with my family, make space for some other dreams, and have a little more balance in life.
So for now, I’m pressing pause.
I don’t know exactly what the future holds or when I’ll be back, but right now this feels like the right decision for me.
To every client who has sat in my chair over the years, I want to say thank you. Your support has meant more than you’ll ever know.
