Here at ArtisanDan we also have an interest in ‘inner health’. We produce Kefir which is a fermented milk drink. This drink has been popular in eastern and northern Europe for centuries. Kefir is thought to be beneficial in maintaining gut health because it contains many varieties of probiotics. Kefir is high in dietary minerals such as calcium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, sodium, copper, managanese and zinc. As a result of the fermentation, very little lactose remains in kefir, and therefore can be beneficial to those sensitive to lactose.
