New figures from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons show plastic surgery procedures were up 7% in 2025, with lift procedures seeing some of the biggest growth.

How much recovery time will you need? There isn’t one recovery timeline that applies to everyone.

Recovery depends on the procedure performed, the individual patient and a range of other factors. Some treatments may involve relatively little downtime, while surgical procedures may require a longer period of reduced activity and follow-up.

During your consultation, Dr Gahankari will discuss the expected recovery for each procedure being considered, including relevant activity restrictions and follow-up requirements.
