Hello! I'm Rebecca, how are you? Thanks for being here with me and joining the COS journey.

Ive had lots of dms recently asking what a TBI is.
A TBI is abbreviation for Traumatic Brain Injury.

Get comfy, this is a long one 🩷

I sustained this injury in 2020 after a text driver drove into my car, spinning me out of control rendering me unconscious.

Shortly after, a scan showed a brain haemorrhage and shortly after that I had a stroke as a result of delayed diagnosis and treatment.

Now I live with a TBI.

Symptoms I experience daily, weekly, monthly and sporadically can be:
Confusion
Panic attacks
Forgetfulness
Forgetting where I am OR why im there
I panic thinking I forgot my kids - never have
PTSD
My emotions dont always reflect the situation eg I might laugh at inappropriate times
I misunderstand things
Constant headaches
Frequent migraines
Lack of energy
Lack of a filter
I can be direct or blunt
Paralysis events
Vomit with blackouts resulting in forced sedation

Basically I am a human Dory.

I will go to the ends of the earth for those that extend me kindness, any kindness. And I will respectfully avoid spaces where kindness is not always prevalent.

With all of that said and its mighty loaded, being announced as Finalist in the Local Business Awards for the second year in a row is such a huge achievement and feeling of accomplishment. Despite all of those symptoms above, I still manage to achieve greatness. And I wont stop. So long as I have a pulse, im not going anywhere.

My husband, son and daughter are the reason I continue to be able to do what I do. Colin supports every aspect of COS, CJ is the reason COS exists and Megan is the reason I created our SPF and winter range.
Each of them help me everyday (sometimes drive me crazy-er) too.

And today whilst I have a brief moment of quiet im detoxing with my Rose Water French Clay masque for me-time, quiet time. Calm my high maintenance brain and nervous system.

What a journey 2026 has been so far...
Back in January our socials were removed. Thanks to news.com.au and A Current Affair we recently got them back.

In March our daughter was accepted for open heart surgery. We were also announced winner in the Beauty Short List award and the Prevention haircare awards.

In April we returned home from the Ronald McDonald House Australia to commence the recovery of surgery at home

Also in April we entered Day Spas across the Gold Coast and Tweed
We popped up at Pilates & Co Gold Coast and supported Gold Coast women’s health networking platform (GCWHNP) networking event.

In May we celebrated one of our busiest months on record.

In June we welcome Cart & Co Hinterland to our stockist family.

In July we were announced as Finalist for Local Business Awards on the Gold Coast, featured in The House of Wellness and celebrating the growth in day spa's with our signature seaweed facial masque and popped up at FERNWOOD ROBINA | WOMENS ONLY HEALTH CLUB

I started COS to protect my son from dangerous babywashes
I kept going to save myself from headaches from a TBI
And I will continue to show up and ensure my daughter, my son, my family and your family remain protected and feel safe as you deserve to be 🦋

Naturally COS has been announced as finalist in the 2026 Gold Coast Business Awards

Almost 10 years ago, I made my first baby bath wash. My son was 6 weeks old and suffered second degree burns from a popular bath wash (still in production), so I made my own.

In 2021 I was involved in a major motor vehicle crash and suffered a brain hemorrhage resulting in a Traumatic Brain Injury. I created our hair care range as a result to help me reduce my own headaches.

Then later that same year we welcomed our daughter. Born with a major heart defect, we were instructed to reduce any chemicals and toxins from her life to give her heart and organs the best possible chance at development and survival. Our SPF and chest balm were created as a result.

Here we're in 2026, so many obstacles, so many highlights. We continue to grow and to educate.
