Nestled in a quiet back street of Heidelberg Heights, Victoria, sits a cornerstone to locals and spoken of with great valour amongst the surrounding suburbs.
This barbershop is the home of owner and master barber Jonathan Cannizaro aka "The Lazy Barber" but don't let the name fool you, he's been cutting for the last 15 years and his perfected his craft from the early days of hairdressing to making his man retreat in his hometown he has grown up in. Lazy has recruited a team of personally hand picked under studies to give a truly unique and unparalled grooming experience to greater Northern suburbs of Melbourne.

After 23 years behind the chair and 8 years of Valiant Barbers, it’s time for me to put down the clippers and close this chapter of my life.
When I opened Valiant, I had three chairs, a dream, and my family by my side. What I never expected was how this little shop would grow into something bigger than me—a place for community, connection, and belonging.
I’ve loved every story, every laugh, and every moment shared in these walls. Watching kids grow up, families expand, and lives change has been the greatest privilege of my career.
So why now? Simply—it’s time. I’m ready for a new chapter, as scary as that is. Barbering has never been “just a job” to me, but it’s time to step away and give more of myself back to my family.
To everyone who ever sat in my chair, trusted me with their hair, or just came by for a chat—thank you. You made Valiant what it was.
This chapter is closing, but I’ll carry the memories (and all of you) with me into whatever comes next.
