Blend is a program through Edmund Rice Education supporting young people in the community.
Some of our team host a group from the program throughout the year, letting them sit in on a normal day here at the studio.
We get to provide 1:1 makeup lessons, do a tour of the salon and have a little a little business chat with them where they can ask questions like how we got into the industry, whatever they need. It’s professional and personal development as well as a fun makeup lesson.

Every product on our shelf got picked for a reason beyond looking good in a flat lay. Some are small batch. Some are the only stockist in Hobart. Neighbourhood’s founder makes her skincare using botanicals her mum grows in a UK cottage garden, which is a better origin story than most of our life choices.

I came back to this space earlier this year after having my baby. If I’m honest, the walking back in part was the weirdest bit and basically what this whole post is about. Wherever you’ve been, however long it’s been, come back exactly as you are, even if things feel a little different. ❣️

This is the kind of finish we live for. We absolutely love an insane liner and skin that’s made to photograph just as good as it feels in the chair.
