The last few weeks have been a lot.

I’ve always been someone who, if I’m capable of showing up, I will. It’s just how I’m wired. Although having kids has definitely shifted my perspective on what really matters; I love what I do, but I’ve learnt that there’s a lot more life to live than work to be done.

I’m incredibly grateful to be here sharing this story, and equally grateful for the beautiful moments I get to be part of and the incredible people I get to meet along the way.

There’s more to being a makeup artist than just doing makeup. And there’s often more happening behind the scenes than the finished makeup will ever show.

So be kind to your makeup artist. Offer them something to eat, make sure they know where the toilet is, and maybe check they’ve managed to source a coffee before 6am. We’re human too 😂🫶🏽

My goal is never to make skin look like makeup. It’s to make makeup look like skin.

It’s not about using more product or deeper shades. It’s about understanding what works for your skin type, tone and colouring, and knowing how and where to apply it.

Thoughtful application, intentional placement and knowing when to stop.

I had the pleasure of doing Selene’s sister’s bridal makeup seven years ago, so being asked to travel to Crescent Head for this beautiful morning felt extra special.

Bridal makeup will always be at the heart of what I do, alongside event makeup and my Signature Makeup Sessions, which have been designed to make beauty feel personal, considered and completely your own.
