Concetta’s time at YOURS. is coming to an end, with her final day in salon on Saturday 17th October.

She’s been part of so much more than just the day to day here, the clients, the colour transformations, the late nights, the laughs, the chaos, the growth, the memories & all the little moments in between.

We love her dearly, we’re so grateful for everything she’s brought to the salon & while we’ll absolutely miss having her around, we’re excited to see where her next chapter takes her.

There’s no dramatic story here. Just someone we care about choosing what feels right for her & us backing her all the way.

Thank you for your work, your loyalty, your clients, your personality and for being such a big part of this little salon life of ours.

We love you. We’ll miss you. And we’ll always be in your corner.

Hairdressers of Campbelltown + Macarthur we’re hiring 👀

YOURS. Hair Collective is growing and we’re looking for a

Senior Hairdresser and a 1st, 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice to join us.

But we’re not just looking for someone to fill a chair.

We want people who actually want to be part of a team, grow their skills, ask questions, care about their clients and become bloody good at what they do.

At YOURS. we’re big on colour, healthy hair, client experience, ongoing education and doing beautiful work without the weird salon ego.

For our Senior Hairdresser, we’re looking for someone confident in colour, styling + client care who can work independently but still loves being part of a team.

For our Apprentice, you absolutely do not need to know everything yet. Come curious, willing to learn and ready to get hands-on we can work on the rest.

And yes, your boss is a nerdy millennial who loves cats, Harry Potter & all things whimsical. You’ve been warned.

I think we naturally show people the yes, the wins, the part where it worked, the nice photo & the finished result. But none of it exists without the awkward, tiny, uncertain, slightly questionable buts that came before it.

The but is 17 year old Jake taking mirror selfies at work with that hair.

It’s the dolls heads at TAFE that I would now like everyone to respectfully ignore.

It’s a dining chair in a bedroom because apparently that was enough for me to decide, yep, salon. 😂

It’s every random little version of the business before there was JF Hair Co, before there was a team and definitely before there was YOURS.

And the funny thing is, none of it felt like “the beginning” at the time.

I was just doing hair.
Then doing a bit more hair.
Then somehow opening a salon in 2020.

Then somehow being named Macarthur’s best hairdresser a few months later, ever so casually 😂

Then spending the next six years growing, changing my mind, outgrowing things, starting again in different ways and eventually landing here.

YOURS.

So this one’s for all the buts, the what if it fails & is this the right decision. 🤎🤎

There’s something about a soft, dimensional brunette that just looks so effortless. It catches the light, grows out beautifully and somehow always looks expensive.

That’s exactly what we were going for here, an expensive brunette you could say 😉

No dramatic transformation. Just making beautiful hair even better, if this has been sitting on your Pinterest board for months… let’s make it happen. 🤎

Campbelltown Colour & Extension Specialists

I want to be a rich dimensional brunette was the brief.

We welcomed in a new client seeking a salon & stylist that actually listens & gives guidance where needed in the local Campbelltown area as her past experiences haven’t been the best. This is where we restore her faith once more 🤎

Starting point was something that had been done quite recently & not an overall vibe. We had uneven, stripy highlights to the root in some place and not in others & a very warm red/orange base which we wanted to be matching her natural which is cooler and darker.

With a combo of highlights where we wanted to see lightness and lowlights matching her base to break up existing lightness & to give seamless blend into everything else.
Glossed inbetween to cool down her base and match to her natural & root stretched and toned at the basin to bring everything together.

Finished with a gorgeous round brush blowout nailing the brief & giving our client her desired result that will be easy to maintain with just glosses & recommended home care routine. Not needing another big colour service/foil session for atleast 4-6months.

This next chapter feels softer, slower, and more aligned with who we’re becoming.
