As our birthday month draws to a close, we just want to say a huge thank you to all of our beautiful clients. We quite literally couldn’t do what we do without you.

It has been such an amazing year, made possible by your ongoing love, loyalty and support. There has been so much to celebrate within our little team!

Paige has been flying through her school-based apprenticeship and building herself a healthy little blowdry club along the way! We’re so proud of the confidence and skills she continues to develop.

Alec is now officially qualified! His growing confidence and capability are producing some absolutely amazing work, and we can’t wait to watch him continue building on his skills and experience.

Jacinta continues to grace us with her relaxed, effortless presence and seamlessly beautiful work. Her cool, calm and collected nature helps keep the salon feeling comfortable and welcoming, no matter how busy the day becomes.

This year, we’ve also had the privilege of being part of a few beautiful weddings. I’ve loved getting out of the salon and creating dance-floor-proof upstyles for our gorgeous brides and bridal parties!

I’ve also started travelling to Jundah every two months to provide haircuts - something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time and am incredibly excited about. It feels so special to be able to extend our services to a remote community and meet even more wonderful people along the way.

We’re so proud of everything our team has achieved this year. Sage Hair has continued to grow because of the loyalty and support you show us, and for that, we are forever grateful.

Sometimes we just need our blonde to be blonder 💁🏼‍♀️

When do foils become a colour correction?

This client was new to our salon and wanted a brighter, more even blonde. Her existing blonde had some darker areas through it, so a standard foil refresh wouldn’t quite get her there.

We did a full head of foils, paying special attention to lifting the darker areas and brightening the ends where needed. Then we toned it all for a blonde that flows beautifully from roots to ends all while being protected by metal detox ✨

To create this look, we first removed colour build-up from the mid-lengths to ends to ensure a clean, even canvas. We then completed a global scalp bleach application, followed by the placement of our custom Pink and Blue top deck and finished with a bold raccoon stripe for added flair.

This beautiful blended look utilised what we had. Blending the natural sparkles and emphasising all the bits we love 🥰

We wanted to bring back our rich dark root but kind of enjoyed having some lighter bits in there too so we went in with our Dia colour to blend our our regrowth and grey but alternated between a lighter and darker tone through our mids and ends to create a more textured brunette
