Your skin might be telling you more than you think…
The more I learn about the role oestrogen plays in skin health, the more I’m recognising the subtle changes that can occur when oestrogen levels decline.
And honestly? Nobody prepares you for what hormonal changes can look like on your skin.
If you’re in your perimenopause or menopause era and your skin suddenly feels… different, this is for you.
Swipe through and save this one for later.
If you’re noticing changes in your skin, let’s talk about it at your next appointment with our healthcare practitioners or DM us WOMEN'S HEALTH to learn more.

If you’re waiting until December to book your Christmas appointment… we need to talk...
November and December appointments are already filling and December always seems to arrive approximately five minutes after November starts!
If you’re wanting to have your treatments done before Christmas, here’s what you need to know:
- Our final day treating patients is Wednesday 23rd December.
- We recommend having your treatments completed a minimum of 2 weeks before Christmas where possible.
- Travelling internationally? Some treatments require a minimum of 2 weeks before international travel, so please factor this into your plans.
- Planning a skin treatment? Some treatments can involve downtime, so don’t leave them until the last minute.
- We reopen Wednesday 13th January.
Whether you’re preparing for Christmas parties, summer holidays, international travel or simply want to feel your best heading into the new year plan ahead. Because the last thing you want is to be messaging us on 20th December asking if we can squeeze you in.

Something new is coming to TK Aesthetics & Skin...
A little September photo dump from our training days with Dermalogica and let’s just say, we’ve been working on something behind the scenes.
We’ve been learning, testing, refining and getting everything ready because when we introduce something new we want to make sure it meets the TK standard.
We’re not quite ready to tell you what it is just yet, but if you’ve been waiting for us to expand our skin treatments, you’ll want to keep your eyes on this space.
Something is coming…

I’m a registered nurse… but that’s only one part of who I am…
You might know me as the person behind your treatment plan or as the nurse who has treated you for years.
Perhaps you know me as the person on the other side of your phone helping you navigate your aesthetics career, business or first steps into the industry.
Outside of TK Aesthetics & Skin and TK Aesthetics Education, I’m just Tekah.
I’m a mum, which means most days are a beautiful combination of chaos, cuddles and someone saying ‘Mum!’ every 30 seconds. I’m a wife, building a life and business alongside my favourite person. I’m a daughter, a friend and of course a very devoted dog mum to Zeus.
I’m also a woman who has had her own insecurities, moments of self-doubt, career pivots, big dreams, failures, wins and plenty of “what the hell am I doing?” moments along the way. I think that’s also important to share.
Because whether you come through our clinic doors as a patient or into our education community as a healthcare practitioner, you’re not interacting with some perfect person who has it all figured out.
You’re interacting with a real person who is constantly learning, growing, building and figuring it out too.
Your clinic should feel like YOUR brand not just four walls, a treatment bed and a logo.
Because yes, technically… none of these things need to be pink.
The personalised mirror? Not necessary.
The branded water? Not necessary.
The pink keyboard? Absolutely not necessary.
The giant acrylic sign? Could’ve definitely been smaller.
But that’s not really the point.
When we created our new TK Aesthetics & Skin space, every little detail was intentional.
From the bags you take your goodies home in, to the aftercare sitting ready for you, to the little Lip Oil + Lip Balm moment, the vitamin samples, the pink boucle ottoman… even the damn computer accessories!
Because the experience is in the details.
And if you’re going to build a brand, why not make it unmistakably yours? Subtlety was never really the brief.
Things that just make sense. TK Aesthetics & Skin edition.
TK Aesthetics & Skin now in Hoppers Crossing, 404 Derrimut Road.

Skin needling shouldn’t look scary. It should look like THIS…
Here’s what a typical skin needling treatment looks like:
- Skin assessment – Assessing your skin and concerns.
- Cleanse & prep – Thoroughly cleansing and preparing your skin.
- Numbing – Topical anaesthetic if required.
- Skin needling – Controlled needling using our Code-X medical-grade device to stimulate collagen production.
- Post-treatment care – Finishing with appropriate products and personalised aftercare.
The goal? Stimulate your skin’s natural healing response and support skin improvement over time.
If you’re curious whether skin needling is appropriate for your skin concerns, book your skin needling appointment at TK Aesthetics & Skin in Hawthorn East or Hoppers Crossing.

Creatine isn’t just for 25-year-old gym bros…
If you’re a woman juggling kids, work, life or navigating the changes that come with midlife and menopause you probably don’t need another complicated thing on your to-do list.
But if you’re trying to stay active, get stronger and make your resistance training count, creatine is something worth knowing about.
Clinical Creatine can help with:
- Supporting high-intensity exercise
- Improving muscle strength when used alongside resistance training
- Increasing lean body mass when used alongside resistance training
And realistically? You don’t need to be training for a bodybuilding competition.
Maybe your “workout” is 30 minutes of weights between school drop-off and pick-up.
Maybe you’re getting back into strength training after having kids.
Maybe you’re in your 40s or 50s and finally making strength training a priority.
Or maybe you’re simply trying to feel stronger and more capable in your everyday life.
If you’re curious whether creatine is appropriate for you, discuss creatine at your next appointment with one of our healthcare practitioners.
Disclaimer: Ask your health professional if these products are suitable for you at your next appointment. Always read the label and follow directions for use. Dietary supplements should not replace a balanced diet.

Ageing is normal but nobody tells you how much your face can change.
It's not always about wrinkles. Sometimes, it's the little things you start noticing in the mirror that you can't quite put your finger on.
Your makeup suddenly settles into lines that weren't there before. Your lips look a little different. Your face doesn't photograph the way it used to and you might find yourself looking tired, even when you're feeling perfectly fine.
Here's the thing: these changes are completely normal. As we age, our skin, facial fat pads, collagen and underlying structures naturally change. This can affect facial volume, definition, skin texture and the way light and shadow fall across our face.
If these changes are bothering you, understanding what's actually happening is the first step towards making informed decisions about your skin and facial aesthetics.
At TK Aesthetics & Skin, we take a holistic approach to facial ageing, focusing on your individual anatomy, features and long-term goals.
Curious about what's changing and what options may be suitable for you? Book a consultation with our team at Hoppers Crossing or Hawthorn East.

SEPTEMBER RECAP!
September has been a HUGE month across both TK Aesthetics & Skin and TK Aesthetics Education. From welcoming new faces to opening our new clinic location, here’s a little look at what we’ve been up to.
September, you were a big one!
- The TK Aesthetics & Skin team headed to Dermalogica for some education on a new treatment.
- My husband and I got our hands dirty sponge painting the feature wall at our new Hoppers Crossing clinic. A little DIY goes a long way!
- We welcomed Nurse Jackie to the TK Aesthetics Education team.
- We welcomed our very first student through the Fresh Clinics x TK Aesthetics Education collaboration. Such an exciting milestone!
- I celebrated Natasha’s belated birthday with a little goat yoga.
- Mum and I made cupcakes to celebrate Women’s Health Week.
- Nurse Jess and I headed to Dr Fresh Clinic for some professional development and training.
- We had a content and training photoshoot at our Hawthorn East location, filming some exciting new treatments launching in October and November.
- We said goodbye to our final day at Mirra Skin & Aesthetic Clinic in Werribee. So many memories made in that space!
- And finally, we opened the doors to our brand-new Hoppers Crossing location at MyClinic Tarneit. A new chapter for TK Aesthetics & Skin!
Two businesses, one very busy month, and so much more to come. October, we’re ready for you!
