Bridesmaids? Booked. Events? Booked. Brides-to-be? Radio silence.
If that’s you — it’s not a talent problem, it’s a translation problem. Beautiful makeup and bridal makeup aren’t the same thing, and brides can tell the difference in three seconds of scrolling.
I spent years learning what actually makes a bride stop scrolling and enquire. Now it’s a full course.
Timeless Bridal Makeup — the exact approach behind 2,000+ bridal bookings, a calendar booked 2 years out, and brides flying me across the world for it — is officially live.
If you’re doing beautiful work that isn’t converting into bride enquiries, this was built for you.

My icks as a Makeup Artist 🚩 (say it with your chest edition)
After doing 3,000+ faces, here’s what I can’t stand seeing in this industry — and yes, some of these are personal 😅
1️⃣ Using someone else’s work as your portfolio. This has happened to me and my team FIVE times — other artists reposting our work, calling it their “signature look.” Let’s call it what it is: it’s literally a scam to use someone else’s work to get clients. Everyone starts somewhere — work your way up the sustainable, ethical way. There is no shortcut. If you don’t have a portfolio yet, build one. Collect real experience. You might book a client off a stolen photo once, but if the quality doesn’t match, they’re not coming back.
2️⃣ Turning up looking messy. Controversial, I know — but this industry runs on trust. Imagine a chef prepping your food covered in stains. You wouldn’t feel confident eating there, and clients don’t feel confident in your chair either. And it’s not just about them — arriving looking and feeling your best gives you confidence too.
3️⃣ Only replicating the Pinterest photo instead of guiding your client. Most clients booking an MUA genuinely don’t know what suits their features — that’s not their job, it’s ours. We roll our eyes when they call full glam “natural,” but flip the script: I don’t understand car mechanics either, and I wouldn’t want to be mocked for it. Learn to read your client’s features and give them your professional opinion. They came to you to feel confident, not to become a photo.
4️⃣ Not knowing your own kit. Every product, every ingredient — learn what works with what. If a client has an allergy, “I’m not sure” is not an answer.
New artists — none of this is about raw talent. It’s about respect for the craft and for the person in your chair. 💛
