Last week I attended one of Frankston Council’s free business workshops, hosted by the marketing team behind Imagine Frankston.

As someone who’s spent many years living in the Instagram world, I wasn’t expecting to learn much… but I actually walked away with some really valuable reminders.

The biggest one?

Follower count isn’t the goal anymore. Meaningful engagement is.

Instagram wants to see people spending time on your content, saving it, sharing it, commenting on it, and actually connecting with it.

A huge thank you to Frankston Council for continuing to provide these workshops for local business owners. It’s such a valuable resource for our business community.

If I could sit down with the younger version of me who started all of this, this is what I’d say.

Not because it was easy.
Not because I had it all figured out.
But because I’ve lived it now, and I can see things so much more clearly.

This chapter of my life has taught me more than I ever expected. About business, yes… but mostly about myself.

About courage. About resilience. About trusting something in me that didn’t always make sense on paper.

As I head into my final month as a salon owner, I’m feeling incredibly grateful for every version of me that got me here.

The scared one.
The determined one.
The overwhelmed one.
The ambitious one.

They all mattered. They all built this. 🤍

And if you take anything from this… let it be this:

You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin.
You just have to begin. ✨

Then ➡️ Now

It’s funny how when you’re living it day by day, you don’t always notice the growth.

You don’t notice the extra treatment bed that got squeezed in.
The team slowly getting bigger.
The salon evolving.
The little improvements made year after year.

Then one day you look back at old photos and think…

“Wow. We really did that.”

What started as a small salon on Austin Road became something so much bigger than I ever imagined.

Not because of one big moment, but because of thousands of little moments.

The clients who kept coming back.
The team members who became family.
The risks that paid off.
The challenges that taught us resilience.

Looking at these photos fills me with so much gratitude.

For every person who has been part of this journey, thank you. 🤍

After many years of building Stephanie & Co. into what it is today, we have some exciting changes to share…

As of July 1st, Bianca from The Boujee Bar will officially be taking over the salon lease, fit out, equipment & team management. 💖

Before everyone panics….
Stephanie & Co. is NOT going anywhere 😂

Steph will still be working from the salon independently, focusing more on:

✨ Laser Tattoo Removal
✨ Education & Training

This decision definitely came with a lot of emotions. This salon has been such a huge part of our lives, and we’re honestly so grateful for every single client who has supported us over the years.

While things may look a little different moving forward, this isn’t the end, just a new chapter. One that allows both of us to grow into the next phase of our businesses while still continuing to do what we love most. 💖
